How many teeth does your 14 month old have?

My little one, Emma, still only has 2 teeth - the bottom front ones. She got both of these around August last year (9 months) and I'm wondering if I should be worried that she hasn't got any more yet? The past month or so she has been drooling non-stop and has had a runny nose for around 3 weeks so may be there are more on the way, but I really thought she would have had more by now? I would really be interested in hearing how many teeth your 14 month old's have.

Hi Michelle.... no need to worry about how many teeth your 14 month old has.... mine is 15 months and this is when his gum is showing signs of the top two teeth coming out..... some kids are just laggards when it comes to teething.... and any other development for that matter.....

Hello! My son Clay is 15 months today, and he just got his 9th tooth. He has his four central upper teeth plus two upper molars, and then two central lower teeth and one lower molar (which came in yesterday). But 5 of these 9 teeth have come in within the last month... very all-of-a-sudden! Needless to say, it was a drooly, sleepless, fussy month but we made it through :-)

My little man has 10 teeth also. He has the 4 in front on the top and just got 2 molars on top and then has 4 in the front on the bottom. He hasn't gotten any bottom molars yet but I think they may be coming because he has been miserable the last few days! My son also always gets a runny nose then ends up with an ear infection when he is teething. I wouldn't worry too much about how many teeth your 14 month old should have. I bet all her teeth come in at one time!

My daughter is almost 16 months old and has no teeth yet. However, she has Down's. I'm pretty sure that's why. My other 3 girls didn't get their first teeth until they were about 9 months old, and now my 6 1/2 year old hasn't lost any yet! I'm wondering if that's related to her getting them so late, as well.

No worries...my daughter Payton is almost 16 months old, and as well has only 2 teeth, the bottom front ones. She got them both within 2 days of each other when she was 11 months old...and so far there are still no bumpy gums showing any new teeth coming in! Our Dr told us that this was normal, and every baby gets their teeth in at different times! :)

My baby girl, Mahala has only 5 teeth. She also got the front bottoms first at 11 months. I asked our dentist before she had any teeth, he said there are rare cases where they don't have any teeth. So i woulndnt worry about since she has a couple. That is a long time between getting any more in.

Needless to say he has been one cranky little guy, and yes he had a runny nose for about 3 weeks out of it! I'm so excited to be done with the tissues! I am sure her teeth on on the way!!!

He's been teething since he was 4 months old! I thought I was going to get a break after his molars came in but then all 4 of his k9's started coming in at once and they are still coming in. He's miserable.

mine only has 2 on top and 2 on bottom. He goes to a surgeon because he was born with a cleft lip and he says that it is nothing to be worried about. I also have heard that the longer the teeth take to come in the the healthier they are so hopefully that means you will have smaller dental bills...after surgery that's what I am hoping for ;)

I talked to my dentist and she said not to worry kids teeth on their own shedual and that supposedly the longer it takes for them to cut teeth the better the teeth are. hi, my daughter, Natalya, has @ least 10 teeth. 6 on top & 4 on the bottom. every baby is different & some kids only have 2 until close to their 2nd bday. If you think your lil may be teething try giving her something hard to chew on. cold bagels help & they are tough enough that if there are teeth coming it helps push them through.

My little girl just turned 15 months old. She has 12 teeth already and it has been this way for the last 4 months. She got her first 4 teeth around 6 months, then her 1 year old molars around 8 or 9 months & next her other front 4 teeth. She has been cutting her 4 eye teeth for the last month or so & is very VERY cranky. The other 12 teeth she showed no signs of them coming in. Good luck!!

Hi there!! Not to worry. They all get teeth at there own pace too. My son is 14 months old and only has his two bottom teeth as well. He has been drooling much like your chhild has too. My sister in law is a dental Hygenist and she informed me that it is perfectly normal for children to only have a few teeth by this age. She says that children who take longer to get teeth may take longer for them to loose their baby teeth later, and typically have healthier teeth in general.

Hi, my daughter, Paloma (15 months old), still only has 2 teeth as well. She got hers around August and just started to get one coming in on the top, finally. Poor thing, she's really going to like having more teeth to chew with, even though she is pretty good at just using the 2 that she has ;) I'm not worried, she'll get them eventually. I asked my dentist and she said just said poor her, she'll probably end up getting a ton all at once. Her pediatrician isn't worried either. Good luck with the teething!

Bella has five on bottom and four on top, for a total of nine. First tooth came at about 6 months, and she's had about one tooth come in each month since then. If you're really worried about it, ask your pediatrician the next time you go in for a check up. I've heard that the later their teeth come in, the healthier their teeth will be! Give it time, she'll have teeth soon enough!

Hi... My daughter, Tamlyn has 14 right now. 6 on the top and 8 on the bottom. She has runny nose for the past week, so she might be getting some more soon. Her big ones are out at the bottom and boy was she fussy. Last week, as I was giving her a bath, there was blood on her chest and I realized that it was one of her tooth that pushed through. She talks plenty though... Having too much fun trying to understand her.

You can also take her to a dentist. I had a friend who's daughter was the same way as yours, she is 5 now almost 6 and has caught up and even lost tons of baby teeth already!

My daughter is 15 months old and is in the same boat as your daughter she is still eating some baby food because she cant chew big things. SHe has just poked through a third tooth but it is an upper eye tooth not even a front tooth. The doctor says "the later the better" because they will get their permanent teeth later in life and have great teeth" I find some truth to that, but don't worry they will come
