I stack my feedings as well. We nurse, eat solids and nurse again. My pediatrician told me with my first that if I work outside the home... I can expect that she will wake up at night to get the extra mom time that she misses during the day. My 7 yo didn't sleep through the night till she was 6 and I was pregnant again. I just dealt with it and tried to not feel to guilty for working.

I bet your child will grow out of it pretty soon. I don't think you need to "do" anything. Just enjoy the time together for now. Your child knows she he/she is hungry, thirsty, or just needs you. It won't last much longer I'm sure.

If it's one thing I read- don't let baby have a bottle in bed! I never have and never want my son to get in that habit. Also, make sure he is getting plenty to eat and drink during the day and I like what Lisa said- to stack the feedings. I give my son his dinner and bottle at 4:30 and then another big bottle at 7:30 and down for the night.

My daughter recently started waking during the night for a bottle, but only after I switched her to cows milk. I'm not sure if it's because it's less filling then her formula was, or if she is just growing or she just can't get enough of the milk?? She has 3 bottles max. a day.
I even tried giving her water during the night instead of milk and she just refused it, she wanted the milk. Looked at me like she was thinking "Mom, I'm not stupid." haha
I also tried giving her oatmeal before bed and she still woke up during the night. Thankfully it's only once, but I had gotten soo used to sleeping through the night! And it used to be 5am that she would wake up, which I didn't really mind...but the past week it has been 3:00am

Try stacking feedings before bed. During the day my son eats every 2 - 3 hours, but the three hours before bed, he has milk, solids, and milk again. Each about an hour apart. Even during growth spurts he sleeps through the night. You may have to vary the amounts baby eats, but this might work for you too! Good luck!

I do the same as susannah. I just leave a bottle in her cot for during the night, she wakes up and drinks it by herself. This helps a lot as she is happy getting her milk and we can sleep. I am not sure if this is the solution but at the moment it is working for us.

my son used to wake in the middle of the night for a feed what we did was put two made bottles in his bed and durin the night he used to find the bottles drink them throw them out of the cot when he finished and he never woke us, my mum said she had to do this for my brother as he would wake 4 or 5 times a night for a feed.
