Is a dress up tea party too old for a 2 year old?

I'm thinking about doing a cute dress up tea party for my daughter next month because it is dyi type thing, that I think I can have her get involved in (making decorations, invitations, etc.) I just was wondering if the actual tea party idea is too old for her to do. Many of her guest will be a little older than her, but I don't know. What do you think?

I think its a cute theme and to decorate as a tea party and do little tables and chairs for the kids but I wouldnt expect them to sit and eat like a typical tea party. But I think itd be cute for all the girls to wear dresses and have little finger foods and maybe have a juice thats "tea" or something.
