Little One's Favourite TV Programme??

Have you heard of Baby Einstein? I am not sure if they really do help their learning abilities but my son is so into Baby Einstein...his favorite is Baby Shakespeare. He also loves Dora the Explorer. I have been thinking about getting Baby First channel..we have onDemand thing and you have to pay Baby First channel monthly. I heard it was $4.95 a month...I could be wrong.

My Elliott likes to watch SpongeBob SquarePants - - since that's what his big brother chooses. I am addicted to Dancing with the Stars and he likes to watch the pretty people dancing (I think the music get's his attention as well)

Remember that studies show whatever the people conducting the studies want them to show - it all depends on what results they are looking for. I also watched a lot of television as a child, I am another mother who doesn't have her master's degree - but I don't think it did any harm...

while i shower, my son usually watches the baby einstein video or whatevers on treehouse...there's one singing show with the "doowops" that he really likes.... and much music or cmt lol

I have dish network and the have this channel called baby's first tv and we ordered it and my baby girl loves that channel. She also likes to watch hockey, spongbob, finies and fur (i think thats the show)

Too right, i remember being plonked in front of the TV as one of my very first memories lol. I haven't got a masters though lol x

awww.thanks! I loev the photo of your sweet baby kisses! Just think of how much TV our parents had us watch...my mom said she would sit me in front of the TV for hours just to get some house work done/cook diner, etc....and I have a masters degree...cant all be bad, right?

Thanks Cara, i was starting to worry a bit. Thomas doesn't sit infront of the TV all the time, it is just like you say, when i REALLY have to get something done. Your little girl is beautiful, such gorgeous eyes!! xx

they actually have a new study published that TV does not really hinder nor help a baby...so dont feel guilty....if you need to get something done, its ok to let the little one watch TV....but i wouldnt let it go more than 2hrs/day as the study suggests! Also, My daughter is SOOOO into NiHao KaiLan!!!!! Its like Crack to her! lol

LOL, Thomas will watch anything with his Daddy, he only sees him for about an hour a day during the week (if that!) and they'll sit and watch the Gadget Show or Top Gear and he'll be perfectly happy sat snuggled up on the sofa with Daddy. When it's just me and Thomas though he'll be much more fussy about what we can watch. If there is something on he doesn't want he'll just yell through the whole programme lol x

Just be careful with the TV watching. Television is extremely stimulating and it has been proven that it can harm the development of a baby's brain if they are exposed to regular TV before two years old. Future ADD problems is one of them.
It is funny how TV hold their attention though!

Yes, Thomas likes the news - again, i'm sure it's the camera angle because the news readers are looking directly at the camera (and so directly a the person watching the TV) and he thinks they are talking to him. He smiles away and chats back to them hehe. Do you watch your little one's face when they are watching the TV? I have missed out on so many programmes because i'm watching his reaction lol. Your son is gorgeous!! x

My son loves "Yo Gabba Gabba" and "Sesame Street". He also is very riveted by the news when I have it on in the evening and gets very concerned looking when they talk about the economy. It's so funny. :)
