My little girl will be 1 on the 23rd November I have just made the switch for her to be on Cows Milk so much easier and a heck of a lot cheaper she eats just about everything and anything these days she has breakfast lunch dinner and snacks in between she has a Bottle of 200mls for breakfast lunch and dinner I found getting her through the day was easy with her snacks morning tea is yoghurt and cheese for afternoon tea which substituted for a missing bottle and kept her going

Breakfast: Weetbix with Fruit, Porridge, Toast occassionally scrambled eggs with Dad 200ml Cows Milk Bottle

Snack: Yoghurt, Fruit, Plain Biscuits (Water)

Lunch: Sandwich, Fruit, Muesli Bar 200ml Cows Milk Bottle

Snack: Cheese Slice, Dried Fruit, Crackers (Water)

Dinner: Either Homemade Chicken or Beef Dinner with Steamed Veges (Water)

Bed: 200ml Cows Milk Bottle

Hope it helps

hey,
my doc told us to do the transition to milk 1 bottle a day adding an extra 1 a weeks so- week 1 2 formula 1 milk w2- 1 formula 2 milk then iff all well all milk w3. (of course this will be diffrent depending on the amount of bottle your LO has. but the "normal" reccomened age for transition to cows milk is 12months. of course if your unsure check with your doc. in saying this there is nothing wrong with continuing formula also??? they also say there milk intake sheoud be about 2 1/3 cups of milk a day. my daughters routine is (roughly)-
wake up:bottle 250ml/9oz
hour later breaky: yogurt or toast
snack
12-1pm lunch: ???sandwich, jar food, cold meat and cheese mix, omlette???
snack
5-530 dinner: ??? home cooked meal, jar food, whatever were eating??? maybe some yogurt or jelly also
bedtime: bottle 250ml/9oz
she is a good eater alot of 1 year onlds i know dont want to eat as much as she does. also she may have an extra bottle of 200ml/7oz in the arvo if she seems particularly unsettled grizzy or hungry but not usually. good luck :o)

What does the doctor say? They differ. My pediatrician who I LOVE said to do half milk half formula first. If there are no issues with tolerating the milk then go to whole milk. I feed my one year old cereal and fruit for b/f then she gets snacks with the bottle/cup. Then she gets a veggie and fruit for lunch and bottle/cup with snacks to hold her over till dinner. She has dinner with the family which I never know if she ate enough cuz she usually just plays with the food and there is no way to measure what she ate..lol. My baby never wanted the 3 meals a day so of course this all depends on your baby. As long as your choices in food are healthy and the baby is of a healthy weight then you should be fine. Hope this helps!
