ARGH - I can't believe that at not quite 15 months old, we are dealing with Molars. Anyone else's babies have any molars coming in? Wes has had the same 8 teeth since he was 10 months old ... and just now has two big molars coming in on the top ...

A teeth chart I use says they get the four around 12/14 months and then will get another set of molars around 20/24 months. My daughters came in around 12 months and all four came in at the same time. For teething we freeze that gogurt stuff and cut it in half..then give her half of the frozen one. She loves it and eats it before it melts. She's got everything from the molars to the front of the mouth, both top and bottom, i'm hoping she gets a break now for a bit.

My daughter is 15 months and she has her back right molar in and we had no idea it was there. Her back left one is coming in and a few on the bottom left, I have no complaints. Its like she's not even teething. But yes, Tylenol and teething tablets helped a lot. She also liked the teething bars from Gerber.

i didn't know it til the next month after half of her first molar came in when the other one on the top was coming in and that the other of the half of her first molar was coming when i figured out her molars were coming in. and now i am waiting on the bottom 2 to pop out because you can see the bumps and they are trying to pop out

My daughter is 15 months and she has all four of her molars. The last one is still coming through just a bit more. But she started working on them when I had her in for her 12 month check up. Thanks goodness for Infant Motrin! And even that doesn't do wonders... sadly you just have to wait it out! Good Luck!

My Nicky is a teething machine. He got his first at 5months and now at 15months has 13 plus the last 3 are breaking through. We have 3 out of 4 of our molars and the 4th has 2 of the points through. Molars are the worst. It's like cutting 4 teeth because each point is painful and they can come through at different times. Our top right had 3 points in for 2 weeks and then he got all swollen again with the 4th point. Alternate Ibuprivin (Advil/Motrin) and Acedaminaphine (Tylenol) if you need more relief before 4-6hours.

Don't worry about it. You can't stop what's gonna happen! :) Actually, my littlest one, now...nearly 16 months, is also starting to sprout molars. We knew it was just a matter of time, and some nights are rougher than others...

Good luck!

My son Clay turned 15 months today, and has 3 molars now. Two of them (his front-most upper molars) came in about two weeks ago (14 1/2 months old) and he got his first bottom molar yesterday. He now has 9 teeth. In our experience, these were the most difficult pain wise, but they were the fastest to break through so it was over fairly quick. They are growing up so fast ;-)

Brennan got all his teeth in early, at about 6 months. He started cutting molars a month ago, top and bottom. It was hard on all of us. I had to put rice cereal in his milk and give him infant motrin. He was great for teething before, but the molars were really hard on him.

The problem was I didn't realize it until they had come through, she was very fussy and not herself for about a week and when I saw the new teeth I figured out why! Poor thing has about 3 or 4 more teeth coming in right after getting her molars!

My son Christopher is almost 16 months old now and he has lots of teeth. First he got the bottom two, then the top two. After that we saw another two on the bottom and top. About a month ago he got two top molars and just over the last couple of days he has started teething again and I can feel one of the bottom molars pushing through. He always seems to get his teeth in twos. Yesterday was hard, he was so fussy and just wanted to be held all day. Poor little guy.

My son Maverick was the same age when he started cutting molars. He had 6 teeth for six mths without getting any more in that time. 4 up top, 2 down bottom. He is now onto his 3rd molar in as many weeks with 2 bottom teeth coming through as well. It is not pleasant when his molars come through. They are very painful for him and give him and myself a sleepless night the night they come with him continuously attached to my breast all night. The week surrounding this night is full of Maverick being grizzly, smelly numerous nappies, off his food and very clingy. Does this sound like your little one? Just letting you know you are not alone in this. I keep telling myself this time will pass and this helps me through. I wonder what it's going to be like when he starts getting his k-9's........

The body will only raise it's temperature as far as 105, that is all the higher it will go because of a bacteria or virus. The only time it goes above 105 is if you are in a hot tub or have heat stroke or some type of external heat source. Contrary to common belief, you can let you little one run a fever without harming them as long as they stay hydrated. What happens is the body elevates its temp burning up all the bacteria or virus thus shortening the duration of the infection. When you give fever reducer, you actually lengthen the duration of the sickness because you are giving the infection perfect living conditions to multiply like crazy. Also, seizures from fevers happen because of the rate of temp increase, not the actual temp itself. If your child is going to have a seizure related to a fever it will most likely happen before you even know they have a fever.

My son is 15 months and he has had his 8 front teeth from about 9months until 13months. He always had his teeth coming in in multiples. Since 13 months his molars started growing in. Now he has two molars in with 6 more teeth all growing in at the same time, 2 of which are his other molars. He had some trouble teething because it caused quite a bit of ear problems and colds. now that all of his teeth have cut the gums, the teething isnt so bad, we are just waiting for them all to come completely in.

My little guy has nine teeth, including two molars and at the moment is working on the two bottom molars and the last of his front teeth. Teething tablets (Hylands or Humphrey's) are awesome and a little bit of pure, essential organic clove oil works the same as teething gel without all the nasty chemicals. We don't use Tylenol because of the high fructose corn syrup, food dyes, and extra chemicals in it.

Well my son is a bit over 14 and half months and for a long time it had only been 2 top 2 bottom. Then over the last month a whole heap have been coming through. he has 2 top molars, 2 bottom teeth just before the molars and his 2 top k9's are peeking through. And the bottom gums are swelling so the next 2 teeth either side of the bottom fronts are trying to come through but have not cut through. Good ol lignacaine and panadol seem to be helping most of the time. Lignacaine is stronger than any of the tube teething gels if you try it yourself on your tongue boy it really numbs it. It's a prescribed alternative to the general teething gels and works a lot better.

My 15 month old daughter has 4 molars she got them all in 4 days one after the other at 14 months. She is working on two more right now. Its tough, and painful but it is over pretty quickly. Good luck to you and little Wes. Try giving him frozen peas. My daughter loved to chew on them it helps break the teeth faster and feels good on the gums. Also motrin and teething tablets work great.

My son will be 15 months old on the 28th. He didn't start getting teeth until he was about 7 months old and once he started, they never stopped coming in. He got his four front and four bottom teeth just like that. Then we started having a period of time where no teeth were coming in and I almost felt relieved to know that we would be sleeping at night again. Just about a month ago he started getting his molars. I thought it was just the bottom two. They were terrible!!! I look into his mouth and realize not only are we getting the bottom two molars, we're also getting the top two. I completely understand where you are coming from.
