I am a young Mom, but I have grown up with a large family and many that are younger then me. So I have always had experience with babies, but never had to pay attention to when they are supposed to do what. I really books and look on the internet and consult other Moms in my life. I still always find myself worried if my daughter is doing the things she should be at the right times and if im forgetting to help her strenghen or work on certain things. Being a Mom is wonderful, but I am constantly worrying. Don't get me wrong I think she is doing great!

Maybe to help make me feel more content about all this you could post all the new things your November babies are up to or just learning!

Hope to hear from you.

Jessie C those words are music to my ears! It is good to hear comforting words. I have been with my parents all day and they tend to over worry and stress me out about things they think she should be doing. I think in my heart I know she is doing great, but once in awhile I hear what another baby is doing and compare her. I hahave to learn to stop doing that. Chloe is her own person and will develop her own way. I totally Thank all of you Mom's for posting to my thread and sharing about your Babies, I love chacking it to see if there are new posts!

Hey Krista,

Sounds like most of the babies on here don't like tummy time. It tires them out so fast and it truly is hard work. Where as on there backs its easy and they know how to do that. I went to Toys R us and bought a tummy time mat made by Bright Star and it has a U shaped pillow and toys that hang infront so that they have to try and reach them, but I noticed that Chloe likes tummy time more when you put the U shaped pillow under her chest so she is slightly proped up. My doc says this helps her ab muscles to so that she becomes stronger! All in time is what I was told.

It seems like all of our babes are pretty much doing the same things - so they are all fabulous! Don't worry about the tummy time, my little one only lasts a minute or two as well - it is a big workout for them!!
We are bombarded by so much information these days that it is easy to get overwhelmed and start stressing. I am a nurse so I have a tendancy to get a bit caught up in reading my textbooks but unless your baby is WAY behind on something don't worry, every kid is different.

Cohen will be 4 months on March 20. He babbles and shrieks and has started to giggle. He is always batting at the toys on his play mat and can hold onto small, soft toys pretty well. He pulls himself up to sitting when we hold his hands and he loves being pulled right up onto his feet. He's a little wobbly, but he looks like he's trying so hard! He sleeps about 10 hours a night and is much easier to put down for naps...that used to be a struggle! The only thing I've been worried about is that he hates tummy time. He'll hold his head up, but doesn't really try to use his arms for anything. About a minute is the longest he'll tolerate on his tummy.

My daughter is 3.5 months old and she holds herself up on her hands when she's on her front, she can grab things but she hasn't figured out her rattle yet. She LOVES chewing her fingers and watching me do things, she babbles all the time and is learning some very high pitched squeaks. She rolled onto her side last week, which scared her (because she bumped her head) and she hasn't tried to roll over since. She stays awake most of the day, only 2 naps (about 1.5 hours each) for the whole day (8am-9pm). She honestly changes every day which makes it almost hard to track progress, some days she's more adventurous than others.

Thanks Brittany, I am so excited to acually have Mom's join my convo and help me relax a bit. Chloe sounds like she is on the right track. When I started my daughter Chloe on rice cereal she only took one or two bites but when I tryed the next day she ate lots. So just keep trying he will take to it one day.I just put it on the roof of her mouth and let her get used to it.Are you still breastfeeding? I ws reading somewhere that they don't have the desire for it as much when they are breastfeeding as when they are on formula. Im not sure of the truth in that but maybe!

I'm not sure if you're still reading posts, but I think you asked a fabulous question! I'm really curious to know about what other November babies are doing. My son Cayden will be 4 months on March 8th. He seems really coordinated with his feet but has trouble with his hands. He holds on to cloth things really well but has trouble with larger stuff and tends to drop them. I almost wonder if he could be teething because he chews on blankets and his fingers constantly. When I lay him down for tummy time he always tries to roll himself over, sometimes he rolls over right away, sometimes he can't and gets frustrated. He doesn't seem to be able to push himself up on his arms or reach for things very well when he's on tummy either. Hopefully that will come soon. I'm still exclusively breastfeeding. My pediatrician doesn't recommend solids until 6 months. What did your pediatrician say? Did you stop breastfeeding to go back to work? I'm wondering how that transition is ? Thanks :D

Oh wow you have made me feel alittle bit more settled. My daughter has been eating rice cereal for 2 weeks and is doing really well with that, she is learning not to push it out. She has been doing tummy time since she was 2 and a half months and still hates it but we do it anyway. In th Jolly Jumper she has alot of fun but doesnt fully get the jumping thing though.Im sure it will just take time. We just stated putting her in her exosaucer but she is a lil wabbly so we putt a blanket around her waist to help her a bit. She is sleeping so much less during the day and so much more at night, it is awesome. except i get alot less done during the day because we are always playing.lol

Actually the other thing i tend to have a problem with is getting out of the house. Im not sure if it is just the weather or what. i think it might be but im not sure. I just ended breastfeeding and I have been feeling all low. my husband has been scared of post-pardum but everyday now seems better.

wow there is just so much change happening..i love being a mom but my brain never stops! Thank you for the posts.

my son is 3 and a half months old and he is talking, babbling is more like it, laughing, he pulls himself up when you grab his hands, he is very interested in people and what they're doing and saying to him(he talks back to us) he was eating rice cereal but he was having digesting problems and so we had to take him off that. he is sitting supported, hasn't rolled over yet but is almost there. he is finally starting to hit his toys on his playmat, and grabbing things:) just remember that every baby will do these same things at different times. i am always wondering the same things and just ask his doctor and she always tells me that he is doing great. also he just now started his tummy time.

i was worrying about the same thing.. my niece just turned two at the end of october and i remember when she was a baby she was like super baby, at 2 months old she was pulling herself up into a sitting position when you held her hands. my son started doing it at 3 months. I was also worried about him not grabbing a hold of things or trying to play with the toys that hung from his playmat, but today i actually got him to grab and shake a rattle a few times, i couldn't be happier. i tried baby rice today but he didn't seem interested so i am going to wait a week or two, Gavin turns 4 months on thursday. he also has this jumparoo thing that we put pillows underneath so his feet touch and he can bounce himself around and he loves it. just remember to try new things with her and talk to her, describe what you are doing or just talk about anything, they like thinking they are a part of a conversation. good luck and don't worry
