hi every1! my baby is 22 months old and i think its time to get him potty trained. but he is scared of it!!! he will say potty potty and he will bring it to me but he wants me to sit on it!! when i try to make him sit on it he will scream the place down and ask for his nappy....is he not ready? can such thing be possible? or is he just pushing my buttons? (he is very good at that lol) should i be tougher on him?

My son is 22 months as well and he has been doing similar things. He'll play with his diaper, say "momma pee pee" or "momma poop", but yet when I ask him if he wants to use the potty or attempt to put him on it, he would freak out or start screaming/crying. I try to make it fun for him just to get him use to sitting on the potty. I use to put him on it and when he would cry, I would distract him with toys or get excited for him when he sat on the toilet. Sometimes I would sit on the toilet across from him to show him he doesn't need to be scared. He still hasn't done anything on the potty, but he is better about sitting on it and now he'll sit on it when I'm getting him ready to take a bath. Every child is different. I say get him use to sitting on it first and then hopefully the rest will fall into place. Also, someone told me to let him walk around the house with no diaper and when he starts to go, tell him him we use the potty because he doesn't have a diaper on. Haven't tried it yet, not sure if I will. Good luck! hope this helps!

Every child is different as far as timing for potty training. are you using a baby potty or the big potty? You could also try treats for motivation. and show him that you now afraid even clap for your self after you pee so that he hopefully gets excited. but also if he still shows fear let him know its there but don't pressure him.Wait till hes comfortable with it
