my daughter goes to bed with a cup of milk (shes been off the bottle for about 2 months), i always go get it after she falls asleep, anyone else do this or know of any reasons that i shouldnt

well my mom just always told me to try not to do it simply because they get into the habbit of having something to soothe them to sleep and as they get older the last cup of milk they had to put them to sleep may not be enough and may go back to waking in the middle of the night wanting more. I have heard of the deal with rotting teeth but I really don't think it makes a difference weather they drink it then to go bed or drink it in bed so about that one i'm not so sure.

My son has had 11 ear infections and he doesn't go to bed with a bottle.....what i do is rock him while he drinks his bottle and then when i put him in bed i give him a sippy of water....i know that i wake in the middle of the night for a drink, so whats why i give him a sippy of water...most of the time he doesn't drink any of it untill he wakes in the morning, but i wouldn't give him milk to go to sleep....it will cause rotting teeth.....
