I have a ginger baby (red head) he is just like his daddy. I used banana boat baby sun screen today cuz we went to the dog park and it was 80 degrees and I didnt want him to burn. his doctor said it was okay because its better to use it then to have him burn

I like Huggies brand, it seems to work the best for me. My son was blonde and very pale so I had to be very careful of having him in the sun. Even with sunblock staying in the shade is best and keeping a hat on your little one.

I haven't used anything yet, but I heard California Baby is the best. That's what I'm going to buy for my son.

I like banana boat baby SPF 50+. I don’t use too much yet just on his legs and feet when we are outside. I also put a hat and a long sleeved top on him to protect his face and arms. And with my older child I use the banana boat Dri-bloc..its great for the beach and park because the sand and dirt wont stick to them and its nice and light..some kids hate that oily sun cream feeling on their skin.

I asked my pediatrician about this because my baby is a redhead and both me and my husband are very fair complected. She said that usually they don't recommend using sun block until they are six month (which I'd heard)...however, she said the reason why is that they have not done the testing of sunblock on babies because they assume that parents will keep a hat on the babies head and keep them underneath an umbrella. She said that if I do choose to use one to make sure it's 1. formulated for babies, and 2. protects against both UVA/UVB rays.

The other day I got Coppertone's Water Babies sunblock. I've also heard the Aveeno Baby sunblock is good.
