I have a 22 month old and am pretty 100% possitive i have been the WORST role model for which foods we eat and amounts ect. MY DD WOKE UP THE OTHER DAY AND WANTED CHOCOLATE STRAIGHT AWAY FOR BREAKFAST SHE WENT CRAZY FOR AGES! I feel that I should be eating healthy and things like that but i honestly am lucky to get tea cooked 3 times in a week all the rest it is takeaway or something just as bad like noodles or toasted sandwiches.I will buy everything for a meal veg, meat ect. with full intentions of cooking but before i know it it's all off in the bin :( I used to have tea on the table and a meal in the fridge for lunch the next day even meals in the frezzer!!! But since dd1 has got an attitude and dd2 has arrived I cant keep up with anything :( I would LOVE the name of a cookbook QUICK, SIMPLE, HEALTHY & SUITABLE FOR TODDLERS...I need new meals That take no time

Also I have noticed a dramatic change in my dd1's behaviour in the past months (Ever since new bub has been here but i also no longer cook much so could have something to do with food)

Would love ur help xo

My daughter eats scrambles eggs, which we microwave in 2 minutes in the morning, because she loves it - and omega 3 is the best for brain development at this age and it filled with protein, so she has it every morning of her life ! It also lasts until lunch time, she has about 4 eggs.

She has raisins/ apples/nuts/biscuits/strawberries/muffins or what ever she feels like, we only have healthy options available so it makes it easy. She can have what ever she wants we let her choose.

At dinner time I cook for the family and dish for her,we do not use salt , if she eats she eats, if she does not, she will eat tomorrow. You just have to trust the little ones ...

I agree with using a crockpot! I love to make soup.. my favorite is to cut up veggies (usually carrots, onion, celery, and anything else I have except broccoli and cauliflower as they are very strong).. add some chicken broth and sometimes frozen chicken and cook for 4-5 hours, until chicken is cooked. Shred or cut up chicken, add some noodles and cook on high for another 20-30 minutes until noodles are cooked. I also sometimes add a can of beans instead of chicken, sometimes a can of tomatoes.. it can be varied in lots of ways. DD doesn't seem to like soup, but I just take out the "goodies" with a slotted spoon and she will eat it that way. You can also puree the soup for your littlest one when they are starting foods.

Another thing I like to do is throw a roast in there.. again it can be frozen to start out. Add some cut up carrots (or baby carrots), onion, baby potatoes, and just a bit of water (maybe 1/2 cup). Season with salt and pepper... then usually about 6-8 hours on low. It also depends on your crockpot, but mine runs hotter, so just go by when the meat is done. One more favorite is throw a few frozen chicken breasts in, add our favorite barbeque sauce, and cook until done. Shred up chicken and serve on buns.. or in the case of DD, on it's own. She just deconstructs sandwiches!

I have tons more if you want more recipes... I also have some non crockpot recipes such as quesidillas that are quick and easy... I fill a tortilla with cheese, salsa, some avocado, and sometimes a little meat, but usually not.

Hope this helps a bit.. if you want more, just let me know. I know it's really hard to get the good stuff in... I struggle with it, but we do the best we can. :)

For me, the best things have been all in one dishes or crock pot meals, that I can make up ahead of time and stick in the oven or just cook all day in the crock pot. Here's a website I LOVE! They have lots of recipes for goos, healthy foods for toddlers.
