Toddler wakes every couple hours threw the night! Help!

My son will be 2 on nov 1st. I use to be able to put him to bed without any crying or getting out of bed. He went to sleep just fine. The past few weeks have been tough... He crys when i try to put him to bed, he comes out of his room. I tried just laying him back down and saying "good night" but he gets back up and crys... its frustrating. Also he wakes every 2 hrs threw the night and i have to stand by his door and shhh him every few seconds until he stops fussing then i go back to bed and it feels like i just fall asleep and hes up again!!! Why is this happening and how can i stop it? I tried brining him in my bed but we both don't sleep well that way either... I have slept in his toddler bed and that was uncomfortable also got him a night light... he has stuffy's (teddy bears) I really don't know what to do...

My son will be 2 on Nov.14th and the last 2 months he has been doing the same thing..I dont know whats wrong with him if hes having bad dreams or what. But he will wake up atleast 5 times during the night screaming and it takes a while to get him calmed down and go back to sleep.

my grand-daughter will be 2 on 14th nov and 2 weeks ago she also started doing this at bed-time for no apparent reason it went on for just over a week but now she is back into her routine and sleeps all night. i tried all the usual things like putting her back and not talkin to her that didnt work i tried stayin with her but she didnt want that a drink didnt work the dummy got thrown so i ended up just playin the lullabys on her baby monitors and ignorin the cryin after about 5 mins or so she would drift back off so every couple of hours i had to turn the monitors on then after 3 days of that i just let her cry for a few mins and eventually she realised that i was not goin to keep goin to her and i think she gave up
she had cut 2 of her back teeth around the start of the problems so not sure if it was just that or just her tryin to see how far she could get but now things are fine and she asks to go to bed and sleeps till around 7 every day so just carry on but dont give in

My son is doing almost the same thing! He will be 2 on November 10th. He's been giving us a hard time when it's time to go to bed. He cries and doesn't want to lay down. He's still in his crib so I don't have to worry about him climbing out of bed. He's waking up every 2-3 hours crying. I try to comfort him but sometimes it makes him cry harder. He doesn't want a drink, he doesn't want his pacifier or his blanket. He just stops eventually. I don't know what's going on or what to do either.
