What could I be doing wrong? Help!

My 3 month old daughter has been sleeping through the night (from about 10pm-7am) since she was about 5 weeks old. Then all of a sudden this week and last, she has been up every hour or so wanting to nurse. The only things that I can think of that might be the cause of this is teething and birth control pills. But she doesn't cry like she's in pain when she wakes up and she nurses with no signs of pain so that rules out the teething. I started taking NORA BE birth control (pop's) right when she started this new sleepless pattern but im thinking its just coincidence bc the dr said it would have no effect on the breastfeeding. What else could possibly be the problem? Or is this normal? HELP :(

i also had this problem a few weeks back, the doctor told me to consider putting him on formula as my milk was nt filling him. most nights he wouldn't settle til 4 in the morning and then he would only sleep for 2 hours. i stuck to feeding him myself, after 2 weeks this passed and he settled longer. health visitor said it was poss because of a growth spurt.

a few weeks passed and again he was very unsettled. i tried everythigi could think of to settle him.

i found that iving him a bath settles him really well.

also he now sleeps in his pram. every time i put him in his crib he screams but as soon as i put him in his pram he sleeps a good 6 hours.

I was going to say the same thing as Angele - babies go through a growth spurt at 3 months. My little guy is doing the same thing! Hang in there :)

I've been told that this could mean that they are ready to start solid foods by my pedi, that what she's getting during the day is no longer enough for her.

Thank yall so much for the help! ....That must have been it, it lasted exactly a week. She slept through the whole night again last night. Thank goodness!

Hmmmm I like the sound of the growth spurt idea.  Or maybe its jus the week for not sleeping through the night.  Last night my little guy was awake after only three hours. He hasn't done that in a couple months.  Man was I confused.  Then he slept only another three and then one more.  And usually too he's slept through 7-9 hours. So maybe they are all growing at the same time?   He's been taking the bottle more frequently too, but in smaller amounts again.

It could just be a growth spurt. My little guy hasn't changed his sleep pattern but he's ALOT fussier, crying most of the time it seems, and I know that at 3 months there's another growth spurt. So it could just be that.
