Althrough we don't watch too much T.V in our house, Ethan, 21 months loves "Ice Age" the movie, it is so cute to see him dance and clap his hands and say "ice ice" when we put it on.

Becky likes to watch Dora, In the Night Garden, The Backyardigans, anything with Elmo, Tigger or Pooh, and of course Cinderella. I know that this list is long but she only gets 1 hour of t.v through the day. 1 half hour first thing in the morning (while she has some milk and Mommy has a coffee) and 1 half hour just after lunch (so her lunch settles - I find she throws up if she starts running around right after eating). Other than that we listen to music all day.

We only watch Nick Jr and the classic Disney movies. I don't want my son watching junk but I'm not going to pretend the TV never comes on! We'll go several days with no TV at all and a couple days with the TV running for a couple hours! Especially in the evening when I'm trying to get my son to calm down for bed time. His favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast; I have literally watched this movie like a million times. I know all the words and my son loves to tell girls they're princesses and he's a beast but he's a nice beast who will turn into a nice boy. Lol it's weird but adorable too! When we watch TV though I watch what my son watches so I can monitor it and turn it if need be, like if a character is rude or teaching bad habits. We're rather strict when it comes to what our children watch not necessarily when.

Disney junior is a big hit with my three year old...he loves Mickey Mouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates best but he also likes Little Einsteins (and so do I). He also like some Cbeebies like Green Balloon club. He loves to watch DVDs of Barney, Cars, Shrek and Ice age. He really interacts with the shows making comments and asking questions about them which is great.

Everyday my daughter asks to watch Shrek - any of them - (not that she watches it everyday). She know the lines and the songs! She is a wild child and gets into everything so it is nice to have something to keep her occupied while doing chores, etc.

All of my kids watched a lot of TV when they were young. Now that they are all 3+, they have kinda outgrown it. The boys have too much homework to do and they would rather play in the free time they do have. Same for my toddler. She is starting to get into Barbies and dolls and she always wants to go to her room and play instead.

There are times when I do need to make them sit down so I can do something -- like cooking or cleaning. I have their favorite shows recorded on the DVR, and I pick something from the list. The Fresh Beat Band, The Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, and Jungle Junction are my daughter's favorites.

As for movies, HA! I wish they would sit down that long. My boys liked Cars when they were toddling but they just aren't into fiction/fantasy. They are a little older and they like to watch Speedvision and shows like Ice Road Truckers, American Loggers, Build It Bigger, or How It's Made. On their TV I have EVERY CHANNEL BLOCKED and I make them pick something to watch from the DVR list. My boys know how to do that.

My almost 3 yr old loves Franklin, Francis
(about a girl skunk, found it on net flix), Olivia, Peppa Pig, Kipper and Angelina Ballerina. She chose Gullah Gullah Island to rent from the library and wore that tape out. Her taste in movies is ever changing. We love Nanny McPhee and Alvin and the Chipmunks. Lilo & Stitch, Tinkerbell 3, Toy Story 3, Shrek1,2,3,4. She used to love Barney and Sesame Street but I guess those days are over.

My son used to (like 2 weeks ago) love In the Night Garden, Waybuloo ... all the shows that I think are age appropriate, but in the last couple weeks he has decided to go up to the receiver and change the channel - usually to a more "grown up" show - like Inspector Gadget and Spongebob ... gotta love it when they grow up and decide what they want to watch.

My daughter really doesn't watch tv. She would rather put her puzzles together or look at her book or listen to music. Every once in awhile she'll watch Backyardigans or her shapes and counting DVD, put other than that, she's not interested in tv.

Well, Noah who is now 22 months, loves Diego and Dora. WHen I was pregnant, we were so set on not letting our baby watch tv, but he is extremely active, wakes up early, takes a good nap and goes to bed late, so if I want to get anything that NEEDS to be done, I have to turn tv on for help. It's not an everyday thing, but depending on the time of day, and if there's something that needs to be done, he'll watch. Yo Gabba gabba is another favorite, Beat Street Band, Olivia, and Curious George. If we're going to let them watch, let it be educational.
