I've had friends have luck with teething tablets, and teething drops. They're available in the baby section of any grocery store here, but I don't know what's available in stores in Australia. Except for that one tooth with a blister I didn't like giving Orajel. It can make the whole mouth numb, and can make it difficult to nurse. But for that one tooth, Orajel was a lifesaver.

It is funny how different 2 babies can be. What worked for me for my first many many many times does not work for number 2. You gotta go figure it all out again.

Hi Lori, thanks for the support! Sometimes I feel like its the teething against me, and the teething always wins! LOL. Its always nice to know there are people out there in the same boat. I to dont like giving meds for teething, and its funny, what worked for number 1, didnt work for number 2, and nuthin is working for number 3! I have just brought an amber teething necklace and am hoping that gives some relief, poor wee monkey.

Hi Erin - Welcome to the group. Teething can really be a pain sometimes. My 7 month old is not showing signs of teething yet, but my 3 year old had a heck of a time with most of her teeth. When she was teething I'd get no sleep either, and she'd be quite cranky during the day. She even had one tooth that developed a blister over where the tooth was coming in. That one was extra painful. Didn't want the teething toys for that one cause they'd hurt. We just had lots of teething toys we could rotate through the fridge to keep cold, and on really bad days I'd break down and give her either tylenol or ibuprofen.

Hi all,
Well my Nov 2010 is now 7 months old - lol. My name is Erin and I live in Perth Western Australia. I am married (for 12 years) and have 3 gorgoues daughters, Chelsea who is 8, Kamryn who has just turned 4 and Taylah who is of course 7 months old. We are orginally from New Zealand, but moved to Perth 2 years ago, and didnt plan on having any more babies - lol. Life is good, but busy, my hubby has a fly in fly out job so he is away for 2 weeks and home for 1. Would love to get to know everyone, and bounce some ideas around, Taylah is cutting more teeth at the moment, she has 4, and she is by far the worst baby we have had teething, poor monkey, for example, last night my hubby and I got a grand total of 3 hours sleep as she was so agitated. Hope to talk more soon

Erin

My daughter Kayleigh had an exciting entrance into the world.. She was due to be born via scheduled c-section on december 30th 2010 .. But Instead she was Born on 11/24 at just 33 weeks 6 days .. I had preterm labor for 2 weeks before hand and they gave me Tributaline shots to stop labor (which obviously didnt work ) and on 11/23 My water broke at 1am ! Went to the hospital where my dr sent me to Harrisburg hospital ( which has the best nicu for preemies in my area ) I was started on magnesium sulfate to try to slow the contractions and was given steriod shots to mature her lungs.. Long story short ..after they did an amneostisis (SP?) test they found that her placenta had ruptured from the uterine wall and her moving around had caused my water to break !! SO at 1:01 pm november 24th my Bitty Princess Kayleigh Nichole was Born weighing 4lbs 10 oz and 17-1/4 inches ..she required now oxygen at all and stayed 2 weeks in the NICU for feeding issues ..she is now almost 3 months (1-1/2 months adjusted age ) and weighs 8lbs !

I am 18 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I already have a beautiful 18 month old baby girl who keeps me plenty busy. This pregnancy is slightly different then my last, I've been fighting with headaches, being completely exausted ALL of the time, and some different cravings! :) I know all pregnancies are different, but I hope these are signs of a beautiful baby boy growing inside of my belly. My first u/s is June 23 and I believe my husband and I are going to keep the gender a surprise!! I have only felt slight movement of baby, but can't wait to feel a real kick and jab in the ribs ;-) haha

Hi everyone! I'm Angela and this is baby # 2 for me, due November 23. I have a beautiful little girl, Addison, who is 20 months old. We're hoping for a boy this time around.

So far this pregnancy has been easier than my first....very little nausea and I mostly forget I'm pregnant except for wanting to drop from exhaustion every night :)

[deleted account]

Hi.. I'm Shannon. This will be my 3rd baby. My other 2 are girls, so I'm hoping for a boy. :-) My girls are 5 & 1. I'm a stay at home mom.

So far I am just as sick & constipated as my first 2.!! I get morning sickness all day for 9 months. :-(

I'm 7 weeks along. I've already had an ultrasound & heard the heart beat. ♥

Hello! I'm 8 weeks pregnant, due on Thanksgiving:) I have a 3 year old little boy and thus am wayyy more tired this time around. I am also feeling everything more it seems. Not sure if it's just b/c I'm older, have a child, or maybe it's a girl:) Or maybe it's all of the above:)

I was a truck driver and had to leave my job due to the fact the risk of loosing the baby because of a job was to high so now i am unemployed looking for a job. I keep having dreams of twins and have been a whole lot more sick this time than last time so we will see what happens. i really can't wait for my first ultrasound
