Hello. I'm a mother of three kids, all breastfeed. My youngest 2 3/4yr is still nursing. Anyhow, I'm working on starting my Photography thesis project for Graduate School. I would love to create a project that helps promote breastfeeding, captures the love between mother and child while nursing. I'm tired of hearing about a mother being asked to stop nursing in some public place. I was originally inspired by The Scar Project. http://www.thescarproject.org/home.html
Recently met a young new mother that was told by her doctor that she "couldn't" breastfeed, because of "dead" nipple tissue. Despite her having more than enough milk supply. I obviously don't know the whole story, but I feel the lack of exposure, support and education about breastfeeding can lead a mother to failure before she even gets an opportunity to try.
So, I was wondering if any of you Indiana bf momma's would be willing to allow me photograph your baby and you while nursing. You'd get free digital copies of the images I take.
