I live in rural Ohio and I now have a 8 month old daughter thanks to the NuvaRing. I absolutely love being a mommy and I am thankful for my failed birth control. I know that my fiance and I could have used a second form of protection so I'm taking the responsibility for my pregnancy but I am very curious about other mothers who have children thanks to the NuvaRing. My sister-in-law also has a baby thanks to the NuvaRing and he is only 5 weeks older than my daughter. I also know of at least 7 other women in my county that have children because the NuvaRing failed. The Nuva Ring claims to be 99% effective but I am having my doubts because I know so many women who have had NuvaRing pregnancies so please share your story!

I am in my 4th month on Nuvaring and all of my periods have been normal except this last one. I normally have my period on day 3 of having taken it out, I'm now on day 18. I originally thought it was due to stress but got to thinking i have been very emotional this past month, and in April I did put it in a day late and we didn't use protection or anything. I have been nauseous for a few weeks now, started off mainly at night, now its on and off during the day, i went a week or so to where nothing sounded good even my favorite foods and candy I couldn't stomach and other foods just don't taste right. I am now having cravings, my boobs are tender and swollen for about a week now, and the past few weeks I have just been exhausted. I have follicular cysts in both my ovaries and all 3 of the at home tests I have taken say negative, but I honestly feel prego. We tried for 9months to get pregnant and then decided to put me on birth control to try and get rid of the cysts so I am wondering if it worked and me missing that one day worked. Not sure if it's just stress and maybe me freaking myself out, that has happened before. But it would be awesome to finally be pregnant, I just want to find out so I can take out the Nuvaring (I put it back in bc I thought it was just stress) so everything would be ok for the baby if I am. Anybody have any suggestions?

I've been on the nuvaring for over 5 years now, and its worked perfectly. I also know several others who have been and no unexpected baby's. its very important that you use it per instructions if you leave it in for a day too long its like missing a day of the pill. Also it must be stored correctly its not like the pill that you can just shove in your purse. I get mine in a 3 month pack and keep the ones I'm not using in the refrigerator because that is wear the pharmacy keeps them when I pick them up. if you keep them in a drawer or something they can get too hot which causing them to be ineffective

I and my sister both have Nuvaring babies! I also know of 2 other girls who got pregnant while on Nuvaring. My son is now 6 months old and my sister’s son is about 8 months old. I had only planned on having two children because as you all know, children are expensive!! I am very happy with our newest little addition. He is the biggest blessing, and I couldn’t ask for a better baby; however it would be nice if NuvaRing could help us pay for his college education and diapers and other expenses that we were not expecting to have to pay again. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t change a thing now that this little angel is here. But we were not ready financially and that is why we had only planned on two. I used NuvaRing because of the fact that it was a "fool proof" method. It seemed like the best option for us. We did everything according to the instructions so it was obviously something wrong with the ring itself. I am starting to think they need to pull it from the shelves.

I accidentally left my ring in from Jan 24th to march 4th. I forgot to write the out date on calendar and totally forgot about it. That's 5 1/2 weeks in. I haven't had a period since I took it out on March 4th and today is march 20th. So my last period was Jan 16th-19th. I did not put in another ring due to my doctor saying make sure I'm not pregnant. I took 4 pee tests since last week. And all negative. I think i ovulated around March 13th to 15th due to all the egg white discharge. Could I have ovulated that quickly after not being on the hormones of birth control? Well Then yesterday march 19th I wiped and I had a few brown spots in discharge. My boyfriend and I had sex around March 9th and also March 17th. Could the brown (dried blood) discharge be my period coming finally or I've heard of implantation bleeding when an egg attaches to uterus. Idk what to do. If it was implantation bleeding I've read you should wait 2-7 days after to test. My doctor ordered me a blood test but I don't want to pay for Lab work if it's still to early or if I'm just all out of whack from leaving the nuvaring in to long, etc. I just normally bleed every time I take it out so I'm confused as to why I didn't bleed and still testing negative. As of tomorrow I will be 2 periods behind (missed). I'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else and if so what we're results and also any advice would be helpful. I'm divorced mom of an 8 year old and I've been with my boyfriend almost a year now so we aren't quite ready for a baby so yeah any advice.

I have been on nuvaring for 3 years. Occasionally I would skip the ring out week by putting in a new one. I put in a new ring on Monday after having the out week and now I'm spotting. My period week was only about 2 days of mild/moderate bleeding. I've never experienced the spotting before. Do you all recommend me to take a hpt? Please help!!

I just had a miscarriage and had gotten pregnant while on the nuvaring. I have a six-month-old and hadn't even had a cycle since her birth. Got pregnant the first week of nuvaring and unfortunately lost the pregnancy at 6 weeks 4 days.

Hello, I just found out three days again I'm pregnant, while I was on the Nuvaring. I left it in a hotel and put a new one in as soon as I got home and remembered. I left it out for less then 24 hours. Guess I part of the Nuvaring baby club.

I made a miscalculated mine and left mine in for 2 weeks longer than I should have. Had sex with my boyfriend and a week later I started spotting, went "holy crap forgot to take my ring out!". Took it out and my body let mother nature take over but I am having pregnancy symptoms, tired all the time, bathroom trips during the night, my eating has changed, eating things I normally don't eat and I cannot stand the smell of dill pickles or tuna (two things I love). This would be my 4th pregnancy and my boyfriends first. I didn't want to believe I could get pregnant on the nuvaring, going to test tomorrow.

what kind of symptoms did you have? I currently started college summer classes and lost track of time. I ended up leaving my nuvaring in for two weeks too long and was sexually active. I haven't been feeling the same and I am worried

The Nuva ring is the only form of birth control I used for several years... It worked for years until May 2010 when I became pregnant. I am due Feb 21st... not sure why it failed this time, but I am grateful for the blessing, none the less.
