I saw something that broke my heart and brought me to tears, I am a ridiculosly Community Service freak, everytime I see someone asking for help, I do help them, even if is with loose change or Used clothes..I saw a grwon man standing on a light on this +20 weather, with a sign that said: Please help, I am out of work and I am doing this for my son, He was white on race but He was read of cold, his head was looking down, and even I could tell his shame, it takes a lot for a man to do something that puts his pride down, and he was well dressed..I wanted to help him so bad, and when I stop on the ATM to get him a $20, I didnt have enough so I passed right by him again, and I cried my way home, lol it just hit me, that America is broke right now, every christmas has gotten worse and worse..So I am just curious: Is your Household really broke right now? Or you think you could just been better?

I think we are all individually struggling what with the economy and job situation the way it is. But America is not broke. There is plenty of money - it's just a matter of who has it. It ain't us.

My household is really broke! Iam currently out of work and living on the welfare system. I am finding it so hard to gain employment in my area, not to mention all the health issues I am going threw. There are no jobs and I am used to working so I am trying to adjust to the stay at home mommy role even thou I cant afford to!

Yes! Totally broke...no health insurance, can't afford medicine, occasionally have NO money left after paying the bills, or, we have to choose one or two not to pay. My husband lost his (fairly good) job while I was 6 months pregnant with our (currently) one year old daughter. I had to take a little time off from my college teaching position because of a C-section...Money just keeps getting tighter. After 18 months, my husband finally started a new job...he's working nights in a warehouse for 9$ an hour. it's unreasonable to expect a family of four to live on that kind of money...it's unreasonable to expect someone to pay for gas on that kind of money...it sickens me to think about how far we've fallen since our first two years of marriage...we both had great jobs, making good money. It seemed like a great time to start a family...then the economy collapsed...we do what we can, and we are lucky to have a very supportive family...but it's VERY hard right now...

My household is not broke, but my husband is military and I am frugal so as long as he doesn't get kicked out for doing something stupid and I don't all of a sudden have a shopping problem we'll be fine.
As for most of the rest of my family times are hard, but we grew up poor so my parents being poor is really nothing all that new.

I'm not going to say that I'm broke because my mom said to always be careful of what you name and claim in your life. However, money is a little tight. We've certainly cut down on our spending and make better financial choices. The hubby has gotten rid of his credit cards and we're taking the leap to become homeowners so that we can stop wasting money renting.

It's all about money management in this economy. I say use coupons whenever you can, consolidate debt, apply for government grants and don't make spontaneous purchases.

Hi....Yes I do agree that America is broke. It recently just hit home for me as well. I currently quit my job because I could not afford to commute the 30+ miles one way each day. I was spending more in gas than I could use to get the bills paid. It hurt me know that I would never be able to provide my son with the life I dreamed of, until I learned about a great WAH business. I am currently making more just sitting at home working barely 3 hours a day, than I was working 40+ hours each week. I have found my peace of mind. And am grateful for being introduced to this company!

yes. i have been out of work since last august (18) and put out of a job due to dumbass politics..when the council found someone who was willing to wear "kneepads" so to speak, i was out of there. it's been hard for me to go on unemployment and get paid weekly an amount that was drastically a reduction from my work pay..at any rate, Christmas as hard for us this year..we like to spend on the kids but we couldn't even do that..to sit there and watch the kids open two or three presents apiece and then be done after being excited all week..i felt i let them down..the lack of money was a big downer for me and i was sad..still am..because i have a kid who has a birthday less than a week after the new year begins and we were broke..dipping into savings to pay bills has hurt me..my bank account is at an all time low and i don't know what i'm going to do when i can't make those auto payments any longer..so yes, our household has been hit hard by the economic status of our region..jobs are not paying well..i got interviewed for a job that pays less than the sad unemployment i'm receiving now..can't win for losing..where is our country going to go now? i hope it gets better real soon..
