Love the optimism

My favorite thing about this presidency, so far, is the optimism we have. America is not in a good place right now, I would expect depression and hopelessness to have permeated society. Instead, People are still hopeful. Friends who have lost jobs are tightening the belt, applying for employment , and fortunately, getting new jobs. No one is giving up - I totally attribute this wonderful attitude to Barack and Michelle Obama. We know we can't live like oil barons but we can live - lives full of love and happiness.
I am also feeling the global love!!!

Hi. I agree. As horrible as this economy is - I too hope that we pull together and help each other. I've been taken aback by the number of people who question whether President and Mrs. Obama are trying to do too much. Here is something I wrote recently for my parenting Web site:



The Obamas and other high achievers can take on “too much”



I can’t help but think that President and Mrs. Obama are getting a good laugh out of people who fear they are taking on too much.

All partisan politics aside (I know this is impossible but bear with me here), we have just witnessed the reins of our country pass from a classic underachiever to a classic overachiever and his over-achieving wife.
