Ok...... What the heck is Rush Limbaugh's problem?????

MOST HELPFUL POSTS

You know I don't have a problem with the fact that Rush has been married 3 times, or that he is a former drug addict. I have a problem that someone who has been forgiven so many times for his own human shortcomings has such a hard time cutting anyone who disagrees with him any sort of slack or forgiveness. He is what turns so many people away from organized religion. Using the name of God to divide rather than to unite can never be the true Christian way. I consider myself a Christian, but I do not believe that entitles me to consider myself superior to anyone, including Rush. I see him as flawed, and don't get me wrong I think people who listen to him are just poisoning their minds and their hearts, but I won't allow myslef to hate him the way he hates us "liberals."

He's a calculating, money-grubbing greedy man. But a very powerful one at that. And I am a Christian. But maybe not so conservative.

He is an entertainer....and is a very well paid..I was shocked at how much his contract was worth...and for his contract to be $400 million..that means there is a section of this country and advertisers alike that are literally buying into his ______! I was watching boondocks one evening and they did a spin on Ann Coulter...and it got me to thinking do you think people who are extremist really believe what they say or they just say things to rile people up

How refreshing to read all your great responses! The secret Republican credo is "Serve thy self!" The last 8 years were filled with Republican hypocrisy. -Let's repeal the Brady Ban on automatic weapons, so that a kid can get gunned down while trick-or-treating (the homeowner thought he was a burglar!!!) but support right -to-life ( by blowing up Dr. offices and the people in them.) Sending off our young men and women to fight and possibly be killed in an illegal war! RIGHT-TO-LIFE HA! No matter what your views are on abortion, you can see that this is THE ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY!!! The Republicans' greed and ability to flat out lie got us into this mess. They are the modern-day version of feudal lords and we the people are their lowly serfs and should be happy they're allowing us to live in this country at all. Now their mouth piece, Rush, continues this madness by wanting our president to fail so that they can return to power. These are good Christians! I wonder what Jesus would think of Rush and Coulter?! The Jesus I believe in is a loving Savior!!!

Ah Molly- I was going to say something a little harsher than that- but Asshat is absolutely appropriate.  I have a code for people like him- we call them the BSC's.  (The Bat Sh*t Crazies).

I did not hear Rush's speech, but believe me I heard about it! I took so advice from a friend and stopped listening to news/radio talk shows etc...that do not have anything postive or helpful to contribute. I jonined a group that actually meets and plans events/drives to try to do our part to help OUR country recover. Contrary to what Rush believes a failure for this administration will be all a failure for all. I also know that there are many of my fellow Americans that feel the same as Rush does, which is why he's still on the air. Thank God, that even more Americans feel like I do. God Bless this great country. I keep heart because I believe that WE wil succeed.

I think that there is nothing that the republicans can do but they just sitting back bashing Obama. They had a chance to fix things their way but look where we are today. They didn't even have the decency to warn us that we had so much at state. Why not have so much negativity when Bush and Congress let things go down. This has effected so many people lively hood but they got paid.Rush should give him a chance to see what happens and concentrate on what he can do as a individual to help out his country. Rush have to be careful passing so much judgement towards others. He is just a hater. Obama..........he is so strong so he can handle all the critics. At the end of the day he is where he is suppose to be.If Rush was a Christian than he would see that he needs to pray for him and the country that we overcome these economic crisis. In God's eye it is Obama's season to restore somethings that we have lost as a country. With that being said........Rush get over it and get a life. I pray that no weapon formed against Obama shall prosper. He is the head and not the tail.

What kills me is when you hear people (some republicans) defend the crap that he says ! They even go so far as to say he has over 20 million people that listen to his show each day. Well you know what, Mccain had 58 million people that voted for him in the presidential election and IT WAS NOT ENOUGH !!!

Quoting Tori:

How can anyone say that they would want the President of their own country to fail? Rush too is part of our country, so if the President Obama fails, we all fail. Doesn't make any sense to me.

key word here is sense...Rush has no sense of decency, no sense of what is right or wrong, no common sense, no sense of anything at all.  He is a jerk!!!

I've never listened to one of Rush's radio shows. I think that he is a hateful man who says mean things. I can't believe someone so hateful to people can be worth millions of dollars! Here Obama is trying to do what he can and what he thinks is good for the American people and Rush just bashes him. For what? What has Obama ever done to him?

He really is an Asshat! Thanks, that's exactly the word I use to describe him. Do you ever wonder if he is like that in real life and if he's just a "shock jock" making it rich from being offensive and sensational? I guess that would make it even that much sadder that real people buy into his b.s.

I find Anne Coulter to be even more offensive and intolerable, (If that's possible) than Rush. I'm not a violent person, but I'd like to beat her over the head!

All the attention around Rush only goes to show just how much trouble the Republicans have found themselves to be in. No one is listening to their rants. They have no substantial leader. They are really just scrambling. So Rush gets attention by trashing the President. The Republicans are letting him do their "dirty work," yet they stay teflon clean. It's a sad day when people have to stoop so low.

I think this man is just so full of hate! And right now he is a very ANGRY republican who can not accept the outcome of the greatest election ever. As far as the economy our president has "inherited" it. Who was the one who signed a bunch of tax dollars over to Wall street back in Oct-Nov 2008? exactly the man I personally was so happy to see leave in that helicopter Jan. 20, 2009. Now President Obama is being held responsible for what Bush left? ( no wonder he was so happy to get out of Washington). I don't quite understand Limbaugh's views on anything, he is JUST WEIRD.

Thank you all for helping to restore my faith in the critical thinking skills of the "average American", whatever that's supposed to mean.  LOL!  This is all I can do these days when it comes to hearing about the latest antics and drama from folks like Rush Limbaugh and other extremely disgruntled, tunnel-visioned people who in some cases didn't even bother to vote in the election.

Let's do our best to pay attention, stay informed, but not give unnecessary energy to him and others who support him without question.  President Obama, his Cabinet, and Congress all need our positive thoughts, prayers, ideas and constructive feedback now more than ever.  If you haven't already, go on to the President's new website (change.gov?) and/or email, write or call your elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels.  The best defense is an offense!  Power to the people!!  :-)

Well , I have to agree with all of you.  And I admit that I didn't watch the complete speech Rush made, but I saw the clips highlighting his views of  President  Obama and how he would like him to fail. It's sad to use a platform at this time to divide this nation when we should be comming together and working towards our childrens future. One thing is to disagree or point out why you feel policies wont work, but this fool is clearly in need of attention for himself and in desperate need to control.I think Rush feels his party was defeated , and I think he feels out of control now, powerless, and who knows, he may even have issues with the fact that a black man rules over him, but that's just a thought. The real issue is that when the Republicans were in charge for the last 8 years( destroying everything in their path), we didn't see this character Rush Limbaugh stand up and preach to us waht a great job his party was doing. Because he couldn't! So if I had advice for him, it would be" sit down, and go to work on your own issues!" Oh and get in the unemployment line, cause you lost alot of listeners.

I really agree with Kathy on this. This is a man who speaks hatred. I am amazed at how many people listen to this man day after day. I really think that the Republican party is looking for someone to lead their party however, I'm sure they could find someone more intelligent and less hateful than Rush. People Like rush are dividing this country instead of bringing us together. President Obama is trying very hard to work with EVERYONE but there are just too many people like Rush out there.

Rush boils my blood. I have a huge problem with people who call themselves conservative Christian's blindly following a three times divorced, former drug addict, with no real education who's preaching to them what they should believe in. That's scary. I can only hope that all the REAL conservative Christian friends of ours out there turn the tide and help their party work together with the President to fix some of the problems their party caused!

Thank you ladies!! I was begining to think I was going crazy. I am a liberal but I'm a conservative liberal. I do see the good in both parties. I believe you have to work hard in life to make it. I understand Rush is standing up for the core values of the conservative party. That's what you do when you are democrat, republican, independent, moderate etc. I agree with you ladies when you say you hear hate. I do too. The last eight years were a mess. This country 's economy started dwindiling with the war in Iraq., Who was in charge? The Republican Party. The war was not necessary, it costs us billions of dollars. The housing market also was a major factor. Rules that were too lenient for lending. People applying for mortgages knowing they couldn't afford it, as well as the companies lending to those people knowing they couldn't afford it. Under who's government was that allowed both Clinton and bush. Bush could've stopped it but he didn't. That's why I believe we are in the mess that we are in today. SO now you have President Barack Obama coming up with soulutions on how to curb the situation and he is getting blasted for spending. How about the billions of dollars President bush spent on the war. (The conservatives seem to just forget that) I say it can't get any worse than we are. The man has a plan. and until someone else has a different and better plan, we should just lay off of him!!!

Very well said, I agree with you completely. I can't believe so many of these people (who consider themselves to be Christians) can't see that they are behaving in very negative & judgemental ways. I couldn't even watch Rush, I had to turn the channel. It brings to mind visions of past world leaders who used anger & hate to spread false propoganda & caused wide-spread panic.

Seriously! Rush is a scary, scary man. Unfortunately, he's also a very powerful man. Can you believe how much power this lunatic has over the GOP? What scares me the most is that these people consider themselves to be good Christian Conservatives. All I hear is hate! It's almost like they are calling for a revolution!
