When should your baby start sleeping through the night? Does anyone have any tips to help my baby sleep longer at night?

Every baby is different. My oldest slept through the night after only a few months, my youngest it was almost a year. I found that if I scheduled her naps so that she had a longer "awake time" before bed, it helped. I also found that if I made bedtime a relaxing ritual, she slept longer. I would turn down the lights, give her a warm bath, massage her with lotion, and play soothing music while she nursed. When she fell asleep, she seemed to sleep much longer after this. I hope some of this helps. Good luck, and I wish you a restful night very soon. :) ~Wendy
