Anyone have a child that had a thyroglossal duct cyst and they had it removed?

My 4 year developed this lump on her throat right above her thyroid. It actually looked like she swallowed a grape She saw an ENT specialist and goes for a CT of her throat this Friday. They are convinced it's a thyroglossal duct cyst. Which surgery is recommended and they have to remove the hyoid bone also to lessen the chances of return We're going through this once don't want to do it twice. If any one else has been through this would love to her your story and could use the support!! Thanks tracy
