My son is now 22 months old, he is a very very picky eater and prefers mostly his bottle over food. He had teeth which he uses to chew up other objects but food. He prefers to eat mashed up foods and when i give him foods that have a bit of small soft cut up cubes like potatoes, he refuses to continue eating and or at time he gags up and spits.
He was born a very healthy baby, full term and weighed 6lbs 5oz. He has food allergies which he acquired during his first year.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Give him graham crackers and other things he HAS to chew at snack time. The bottle probably doesn't help, tho.

I sit and eat with Zoe and I overdo the chewing for her making 'chewy' noises. lol I've also given her small pieces of food that she has to chew. She loves minted lamb and roast beef which she has to chew on. In the earlier stages she used to stuff loads in her mouth and not chew and this knocked her confidence a lot and it was worrying, I sometimes still have to feed her, especially new foods. She often wants me to show her first too and says "Mummy do it", then she will try but she copies well. Sx
