My 13 month old is pulling her hair and smaching her head on the ground, when she is not getting her way. I'm getting concerned that something is very wrong.

my daughter has a full out tantrum. so its normal, and it does drive me nuts but still. i just ignore her and she actually has toned it down a bit!

Yes this is normal unfortunately, I hope she is not hurting herself. My 14 mo sometimes bangs his head against the wall when he is sitting or leaning against it, not as a tantrum, just to see what happens. I found that if I ignore him he stops quickly, but if I say: Oh no, what are you doing etc, he likes the attention and giggles and keeps doing it.

My daughter either fall forward and hits her head on the ground or throws herself back crying. It is her "tantrum". I just let her go since she can't talk to let us know what she wants or means yet. Our pediatrician said it starts around 12 months and is usually at it's peak by 18 months (throwing tantrums). So, just know, it is normal and we are all going through it too!

My 13 mth old just started doing this same thing a few wks ago. She always wants a drink of what we're drinking and when she doesn't get it she lungs on the floor and bangs her forehead on the floor while grunting. I'm told it's normal cuz they're just figuring out what "no" really means and they don't have words yet to express their frustration.
