I'm still working on my 2.5 year old so I haven't begun to think of this one yet. I'm afraid we may be doing them both at the same time at this rate! My Oct. 2007 baby actually LOVES sitting on the potty. Today he sat there, in the middle of bath time. As soon as I put him back in the tub...he went peepee.. Of Course!

Hello, I was not really going to start potty training for another month or 2, but Nayha ( 17 mths) decided that she wanted to start ealier, climbing on the toilet and sitting at the of the toilet and doing a wee.So I brought her a toilet seat thing to go in our toilet, I skipped the potty because with my eldest (4) all she wanted to do was put it on her head and i think of it as double handeling eveything. But dont worry to much every child is differnt and will only do it when they are ready.

Excellent. Keep us posted. I'm a bit nervous as my mother-in-law always reminds me that my hubby was clean and dry by 9 months! If you read the Gina Ford book she describes this as the days when the mother was potty trained! lol Sx

I am potty training Kaidence....we decided it was time after she started to request to be changed! She would pat her diaper and say 'change?' We don't push it, though...we just got the potty, and whenever anyone else goes to the bathroom, they take Kaidence. It is a family affair! I have two other girls (8 and 4) and Kadi loves going when they go! (even though she very rarely goes, she kinda just sits there) But last week, she patted her diaper and said 'potpot' and ran to the bathroom, and she went! She hasn't done that since, but I feel like we are making progress!! Good luck to you, let us know how it goes!

I bought a potty chair for my daughter last week. She's started taking her diaper off and doing her business. (Fun!) I've not really done much on training as much as getting her used to it being in the bathroom and letting her sit on it and read her books. I do sit her on it before we take a bath in hopes that would accidentally make her go. I'm not really pushing it yet, I know we've got some time...I was just tired of cleaning up messes!
