He used to go to bed without any problems! We used to tell him, it's bed time let's go. And he'll grab his doll and blanket that he sleeps with and will lay down in bed all by himself. Now it's a fight everytime! Also when I have to change his diaper he'll keep saying no, and run from me, and then when I catch him and lay him down, he'll start screaming and kicking! I don't understand why he's like that! He's was always like that for diaper changes until a few months ago, but now he's back to throwing a fit!

it's a power struggle. and a phase.

my girl did/does that too. she was fine about diaper changes, then one day, she went berzerk when i went to change her. at first, it was just on the changing table and then it was anywhere. (personally, i thought that she fell off the table and was scared. everyone denied it ever happening until, one day, my husband fessed up!) anyway, we made a game of getting changed. now, the worst she does is wiggle-butt, which is where she sways her hips from side to side singing "wiggle-butt, wiggle-butt." it makes getting the diaper on slightly difficult but no longer a fight!

the bedtime fight still goes on. she was the same as your son; used to go to bed just fine and then, poof, suddenly no more. we stick to the routine of bedtime. slowly, the struggle is lessening. for my daughter, it's fear that i won't be there when she wakes up that drives her inability to go to sleep calmly
