I did ladybugs. My daughter loves them. For her play group party I did sunflower cupcakes with a red m and m ladybug. and for the cake a big cake with two ladybugs since she turned 2 with one flower and added green food coloring to shredded coconut to make grass. All very simple. That way everything else could be red and black.

Well his birthday is the 27th so because of things we are holding the party on the 31st and we can't decide between a Halloween theme party in the afternoon and have everyone in their costumes or do a truck sprots theme because he is crazy about both and make a sweet cake of a dump truck with different balls in it. what to do what to do

I'm having mainly family to the party. I am struggling with 2 things. First, I'm not sure what I should feed everyone. The party is at 11am and I feel like I need to provide lunch. Last year we did Lenny's sub sandwiches with homemade pasta salad. I have one guest who won't eat beef or pork and another guest who is flat out picky. I really want all to be able to eat and enjoy.

Second, I really don't know if I should have any "games/activities." It's kinda hard to plan b/c I will have a 10 month old, a 17 month old, and a 5 yr. old (plus my 2 yr. old). With such varying skills at those ages, I don't think there's much that they can come together on except simply playing and maybe coloring. Ideas/thoughts?

(My only theme is the number 2.)

Wow, everyone is so creative... we are doing a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party cause Mikalah is totally obsessed with the show right now. I am making the cake myself, and I can't wait to see how it comes out. She doesn't have lots of friends, but we are looking forward to lots of family being there. After the party, we are lighting our firepit to make s'mores and roast hotdogs!

I also am doing a Micke Mouse Clunhouse themed party, and like Mikalah my son doesnt really have friends his age, and all his cousins are so older than him. I was wondering what kind of games you will have at the party if any. I want to do goody-bags but then again im not sure what to put in them and I dont want to spend alot of money either. open to advice!!

we are doing mickey mouse as well  i would suggest a pinata because you can just go to the dollar storebuy some little balls or sunglasses etc  and the because all the halloween candy is out just buy a bag of that and it shouldn't cost too much then the goody bags are filled with that and it is a game as well  ( and if you dont want them to hit it there are pinatas that come with string that you pull which is good for all ages)

Instead of a goody bag, I'd suggest Mickey Mouse (or simply Disney) books - whether they be coloring books, paint with water books, or actual books.  You could even put some crayons with it if you go w/the coloring books.  I just feel that goody bags are often comprised of little stuff that you waste money on and aren't really wanted/used.

Last year we had a big party & this year we decided to do a cresche party only. 10 kids with the theme 101 dalmations. the cake was a dalmation with a 2 candle. I'll post some pics. we had party boxes, white once with dog footprints and the kiddies names on it. you can get the boxes (small ones) at pick 'n pay, spar, shoprite, everywhere. It was alot of fun, and Kelsey enjoyed!!

We had a Handy Manny theme party for Ben on the 3rd of October. He turned 2 on the 2nd. Since this was his golden birthday I spent a little more than I normally would have. I know he won't remember it, but I will! He had a great time. I got the decorations online from birthday direct and oriental trading co. I had yellow construction hats, blow up hammers, goody bags for the kids that were Manny's tool box. Inside the box I had bubbles, candy (smarties and dum dum suckers - Ben's favorite), Manny stickers, and oh the cookies...My friend from work made cookies shaped and decorated like Manny's tools! They were the big hit of the party! I placed a cookie in the bag as well for the kids to take home. The party was mostly family and a few friends, but still consisted of over 40 people! My husband is from a huge family. He is one of 11 kids, and so far there are 21 nieces and nephews! For dinner we did a taco bar, which everyone enjoyed.

My son just truned 2 yesturday and we had a airplane/airport birthday party for him. Turned the livingroom into an airport and made box meals for the kids. Instead of streamers we hung paper airplanes and clouds from the ceiling. He had a great time

For my goody bags I purchased the big bags of candy (they are on sale because halloween is right around the corner) then added a few misc. items from party city.  Its a great party store and they have kid themes on sale 50% off right now! (check partycity.com) If its just a few kids, you can buy the pre-made goody bags from$3-$5 each and save yourself the time and hassle of putting them together yourself.

We are having a birthday party for Caden with family and friends at our home, we have a bounce house and lots of backyard toys for them to do. I usually try to do a craft with all the kids at all the parties ( I have 3 kids) but with him only being 2 Im having a hard time thinking of a cool one. My husband says I always go overboard with all the food and decorations, but to see Caden and everyone else having fun makes it worth it. I love planning parties and get togethers so I look forward to his part on the 10th (his real B-day is the 12th. Happy Birthday to all the big "2" year olds!!!!!

I have always done huge parties for the kids. But with having 3 kiddos now, money is an issue. So we are having a Pizza Party for Chloe's "friends" & some family members on her actual birthday. Then on daddy's day off (Sunday) we will take her to Chuck E Cheese & let her go wild.

We're just doing a small get together to open gifts and have cake for our son and nephew (my nephew's birthday is the 9th of October and he'll be 4). We were going to do another party with family and close friends...but one of my friends just had a baby and I knew her family probably wouldn't come.

we are doing a "b" party. not a bee party but the letter b, the second letter... having bubbles, balloons, bugs, and balls. if the weather's nice (here's hoping!) we'll be renting a bouncy house and putting up a badminten court, too. lots of family friends have kids that Sadie plays with regularly. thus, lots of invites. plus the entire family on my husband's side live nearby and will be there. i am baking a lady-bug cake for my sadie-bug's day

For the "friend party" we're going to do a Halloween themed party - something like decorate your own pumpkin. I figure we can get away with a Halloween party now before he gets older and wants to do his own thing.

We are having a little birthday party at Blizzard Beach. I'm super excited, it's winter themed (of course) and I'm getting ready to do a practice run of the chocolate zucchini cupcakes and white chocolate snowflakes, for her big day:) I really hope they turn out! What are your plans?!
