Any suggestions on cloth diapers

I purchased a small supply of BumGenius pocket diapers to sample. At our baby showers we got so many disposable diapers that I haven't had a chance to use them much. Now I am starting to again. I only use them at home. I am finding that I have to change him every 2 hours otherwise I find leaks and I have to use the long inserts which bulk him up so much he barely fits in his clothes. At night I have to revert back to the disposable to avoid leaks. If anyone has any great suggestions please advise. Thanks!

I use covers and prefolds though I am going to try to switch to inserts and covers.  I don't like the bulk from the prefolds. wigglewormbottoms.com are my fav covers, Amy does a great job.  I am not cding at night but if I start I will likely go to pockets and inserts.  I used to use joey bunz for inserts but got a couple suggestions for other ones from some friends so I will try them

the Kushies brand from Walmart were my favourite.... all the best to you , we did cloth at the beginning but  I have a red head whose skin was so irritated by them that I gave up :( ..

There's a Circle of Moms community I belong to called "Cloth Diapered Munchkins". The mommas there have been so much help - you should check it out, they'll be able to offer lots of advice. Personally, I'm no expert, and am not familiar with BumGenius - we use Thirsties covers along with the chinese prefolds (we use a diapers service), and LOVE them. I hate using disposables, as we've had some bad blowouts with those. With the Thirsties we've had no poop blowouts, and only very minor pee leaks on occasion. Good luck! :D

Plasic pants, they look like underwear but help stop the leaks. You can get them at Walmart or Sears and specialty baby stores.
