I actually introduced whole milk from 6 months on cereal but from about 10 months my son refused point blank to drink any milk at all. I had to up his calcium intake in other ways. He is not yet one and I have only recently managed to get him to take a couple maybe 5 ounces of cows milk at night time. I have started to buy the advanced formula in cartons which he seems to be drinking just to make sure he gets his vitamins etc but also make sure he eats well. The doctor told me that you cannot force them to drink milk so as long as they are getting calcium from cheese and yoghurts etc then that is all you can do. Good luck.

I found when I started whole milk, my daughter had no problem switching but she got very constipated. So I'm figuring that the whole milk was to rich. I have her on 4oz 2% and 4oz formula. She can poop but it is still hard. Anyone else having these problems?

Yes, i started about 2 weeks ago. I've been mixing it with her bottles. I started with 2oz in her 8 oz bottle. I am now giving her 4oz in her 8 oz bottle. so she is getting 4 oz formula and 4 oz whole milk. She loves it. I try to give her a cup, but she just blows bubbles, but we are working on it.

I started adding whole milk to my daughters formula at 10 months, to switch slowly, she is now drinking about 2/3 whole milk and is doing great.

Ive been giving whole milk after dinner since about 9 months. Now I am increasing and weaning off bottle at 11 months due to him not drinking regular formula at all. He refuses the formula.

I started my son on whole milk when he was 9 months old (born Oct 1st). He had reflux with the formula and the transition was flawless! The best part is no more reflux! I don't remember how much I gave him when we first started, but now he normally drinks 4 or so 8 oz sippy cups a day plus his juice. By the way, I took the bottle away from him at the same time I made the switch, I'm not even sure he noticed . . .:)

Oh yes...she loves my whole milk. Been getting it since birth. Tastey tastey.

But- I know what you're asking. Cow's...nope. And never will.

I am trying to get my lil guy switched to whole milk. He won't really drink it though. So I have been putting half formula and the other half milk in his bottle.

I started 2% milk about a month and a half ago because he doesn't tolerate whole milk that well and this is what his ped suggested. I'm breastfeeding as well but with a new pregnancy my supply has diminished and he needs the extra milk.

I've started my little man on 2% as directed by his ped... he's a chunk and is still also breastfeed. He does just fine with it!

Hi, I started my son on cows milk just before he was 10 months old and he is talking it well, which I was surprised at first. I do 160mls of milk & 100mils of boiled water.

I just started giving my little guy a few ounces a day but he is taking it fairly well. At first he looked at me like I was insane giving him that "stuff" but after just 3 days he seems to be liking it a little more.

i have been introducing whole milk for about a month now and she actually likes it quite a bit. Slowly starting to wean her off breast milk. Im finding it a little difficult because breast feeding seems to be such a comfort thing for her, I guess it will all come in time!

We have been giving our little one an ounce or two after dinner. I wanted to make sure that she likes it when we start to weane her off of the bottle.
