My son has recently became scared of the bath. He use to love it, but now he screams hysterically as soon as he touches the water. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Use your elbow....best thing to test the water, I found that when I test that way my baby seems the most comfortable in the tub.
Try also keeping the room warm and wrap him up right away

Thanks! Nothing has never happened in the tub, I go by what the rubber ducky says is the right temp. It may just be too cold. It has been in the single digits here recently. He may just be cold.

try to change the temp. of the water, either a little warmer or colder. my son started to get fussy at bathtime and i found out he enjoys hot water rather than warm water

Did something happen while he was in the tub? Like he got scared of something?
Or maybe the water was too cold/hot?
Try reintroducing him to water gradually and try putting him in a tub without water in it first and maybe giving him a sponge bath in there... Also you need to distract him with rattles and toys untill he realises that it's not that bad in there...

our son used to cry his whole bath time and clench his fists so they turned white!  We found the hotter the water the more he liked it and now he loves it.

The nurse told us lukewarm water and it was just too chilly for our little guy...

My son hated the bath in the beginning. We started showering him when he lost his umbilical cord and he LOVES it. He showers with one of us each day and sometimes even falls asleep in there. He really likes being in the water and feeling it run over him.

Maybe try that??? It worked for us and will tolerate a bath now ... not enjoy it but tolerate it.
