I particularly like the Alpha Omega convertible one. Eddie Bauer has an exact same model. I have three of them. Love them.

My convertible is for 5lbs and up, while the bucket seat I had was for up to 35lbs.

It fit perfectly into my Toyota Yaris and it's so easy to move from car to car (It's been in my mother's Corolla then Yaris as well as my step-fathers Tundra-- extended cab). My mom loved it so much she went out and bought one too, so when she babysits we don't need to move the seat.

i would definetly look into a convertible seat because he still needs to be rear facing untill one year there is a graco my ride65 which rear faces to 40Lbs and and i belive 41-43in and there are several more made by graco and evenfloo that rear face up to 40Lbs but i would definetly go with a convertible

I have 2 graco safe seats and love them....I am a foster parent and get all ages/sizes of children and they go up to 30lb and/or 30inches. They hold up well being washed multi times and easy to adjust the straps on the baby. Fyi some carseats you have to fiddle with the straps behind the careseat to tighten this one is all up front and easy to pull tight or give it more slack if needed to get baby out.

look at the convertible seats AND since most people dont know i'm going to point out that carseats have expiration dates on them *should be printed ont he back of the seat* so the 3 in 1 seats are useless since your seat will need to be replaced before you get to the 3rd step of the seat.... the seat needs to be replaced by the expiration date due to damage to the plastic from the weather and other things

You could buy a convertible one.  I believe that they go up to 40lbs and I don't know how long on the length.

you can get the graco safe seat which goes to 30 pounds, but we just got an evenflo triumph advance. he actually likes it a lot better, it's so much more comfy and he can use it when he's bigger :)

That is the one we have for him to move up to. It got 4 out of 5 stars on Babies R Us reviews. We have a few more pounds before we have to make the switch. I'm more concerned about his length at this point. Our carseat only goes up to 30" and he's pushing 27 ...

I just moved mine up to the Evenflo Triumph Advance.  It got good safety reviews and is easy to use.  He is much happier in the car now.

Howdy

I didn't know this until a couple days ago, but i guess there is a car seat thats in the middle of the newborn carseat and the one that sits forwards, it holds 20 pounds and up, i'll try and find something on here to give you a better idea, but there is one that goes in between the infant and the one that sits forward.
