Does too much cereal onset constipation?

Should i be mixing the cereal with baby food, or giving the baby food straight without cereal now? Is the cereal making my 7 month old constipated?

because the cereal has extra iron in there as u take away a bottle/breastfeed and they nned more makes them constipated. maybe try cereal one day/meal, fruit the next.

Rice cereal will cause constipation.So do things lik applesauce and bananas, I make his cereal with either breast milk or filtered water. My son loves prunes and anytime I notice he seems a little backed up I give him a jar and it works within hours, Oatmeal will also help with it costipation. A good rule of thumb someone told me is that foods that start with B will bind you up, things that start with P will make you poop.

Hi Britny. I have a 7month old girl and she also experience constipation especially with rice cereal. What I do, I add a bit of prune juice with the cereal or I give her a bit of prunes with the spoon. Hope this helps.
