Hi! I was woneering when you travel where you have the babies sleep? I have a pack n play but not sure if I want to haul it with everything else to the airport, and the hotels I'm going to I dont think have cribs. What creative things have you come up with, or is the pack n play just a life saver and I have to take it? She is only 6 months, not crawling or gettin too far yet.

if you don't wanna bring your pack-n-play you could just try making a comfy spot with a comforter for the baby to sleep on the floor...or bring a bouncy seat or travel swing. they are smaller then a playpen and could fit in a suitcase.

We took our pack and play. I didn't trust the hotel cribs or putting him in the bed with us without rails. It really wasn't much of an additional hassle to check the pack and play. It took one of our checked baggage allotments, but most airlines with let you bring an extra "baby item" if you're flying with a little one. Our pack and play is in a bag and has wheels, so we just dragged it along behind us. It was also our changing table while we were away.

I know that there are small travel cots that actually pack quite small like the PeaPod (since most travel cots can weigh even up to 11kg!). Have you tried to ask at the hotel to see if they have any travel cots available? You can't have been the first parent with a young child to come stay in their hotel.
