Hi everyone,
My doctor has told me that according to the charts he has that my son is the biggest baby born in Oct. 2008! Just wondering if he really is....He was 9lbs. 8oz at birth ( I know that's not the biggest lol) and he is now almost 29lbs and over 31 inches tall. He's about to turn 9 months old and is already half my height! (I'm only 5'2") So I was wondering how big your Oct. 2008 baby is?

Isaac was born - 10.20.08 - 8lbs 9oz 21inches
9 months appt was 23lbs and 29 1/2 inches- 80 %tile- he used to be in the 90%tile
Hes 10 months now and is 24 lbs.

My son was 6lbs 8oz when he was born he is now 19lbs and 28inches long he is 75th percentile for height and only 12th for weight, but genectics make a big difference in that factor so I wouldn't worry

Ella is coping really well with the bag. Its a shame its getting hot here so quickly as I dress her well so she cant get to it lol.. Your in Australia you said? Im in QLD. I have a son who is nearly 6, from memory he started crawling about 10mths so Ill give her a couple more weeks.. hehe.. But she shuffles VERY well cant put her down and turn my back she moves quick! The Doctors said Ella has a heart murmur too (this was after her op) and I was concerned but I spoke to her surgeon (diff doc to the ones that said they could hear it) and he said it was completely fine that her murmur was a sign of a healthy heart as the blood was just rushing through slightly faster than normal.. so there's one less thing to worry about!!!! I hope all goes well with Jacob's ECG.. Certainly not at all pleasant seeing them in hospital.. I am not looking forward to taking Ella back there but it has to be done..

Glad to hear that she is doing well with the bag. It is very hot isn't it. The last three days were over 30 and I was sooooo glad today was cooler!
Jacob started walking before crawling and then when we did crawl, he was too fast for anyone...he he.
(Was replying straight away and then my neighbour came over with her snap machine and got gossiping, now where was I??)
Well that is one thing less to think about. Jakes was 3mm out of 7mm at birth so will be interesting to see the growth rate. I think they will have to drug him this time as he is so active, defintately not the 5 weeks old now.
Good luck with the hospital, never nice taking them there but always one step closer to a "normal" life.

Hi Ave, Jacob sounds like he's doing really well. My little girl was diagnosed with Hirschsprungs Disease at 7 months. She currently has a colostomy bag and we're waiting on her pull through operation and stoma closer which should be in the next few weeks.. Shes growing so well since being diagnosed she is 9.360kg now and approx 74cm long.. :) Still waiting for Ella to crawl let alone walk! She doesnt want to try mind you she just shuffles over to the lounge gets herself up and walks all round it lol..

mom... my daughter was 8lbs 15 oz at birth. at her 9 month well baby she was 173/4 lbs and 291/4 in long, she has grown a bit since and for awhile she was 90th percentile for height and 15-20th percentile for weight

My girl was 10 months old last week - she weighs in at 9kg (about 19.8lbs) - birth weight was 7lbs 3oz (about 3.3kg). She was about 48cm (18.8in) at birth and about 67cm (26.4in) at 10 months. She is 50 percentile

My son Ethan was born on October 24th, 2008 and he weighed a whopping 10lbs and 13 oz and was 221/2 inches long. He was a monster baby and I had no idea that he was going to be that big. OOCH!!!

My daughter was born on the 24th. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. She went in for her nine month check up she grew 12 inches (was 19 1/4.. now 29 3/4) and weighs 23 lbs 15 oz!

Hello,
My baby was 3 pounds and 9 ounces, when he was born 7 weeks premature, on October 19, 2008. In the NICU for 2 months.
He is now 21 pounds at 10 months and you wouldn't be able to tell her was premature at all!

Hi Frances! You do have a big boy. My son is 10 months old now and weighs 21lbs and is 291/4 inches. When he was born he was 7lbs 7.4oz and was 22inches long. I wouldn't worry though.

I feel the same way. I am also 4 ft 10. My daughter was born on Oct 24! She is right in the middle of the growth chart now.

Ethan at 9 mths was 11kg [@24lbs] and 77cm long [30inchs] ~~ this is the 97th percentile for both height & weight.......... at birth he was 3030gms [6lb 11].

My son was 10lbs. & 21.25 inches at birth, at his 9 month checkup 2 weeks ago he weighed in at 25lbs and 32.25. He is full of rolls and chub!!! He just learned to crawl last night acutally so I am anticipating a leaner boy in the coming months...Dr. also said to cut him back to 20oz. of formula a day...little boy is not happy with that!!!

Abbey was 18 lb 4 oz at 9 and a half months (at birth she was 8 lb 3 oz). Wow, 29 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Abbey was happily following the 50% percentile but is slightly below that now.

My daughter just had her 9 month check up yesterday and weighed 17lbs 3oz and 27.5 inches long. She is on the smaller side compared to a lot of babies on here, but her doctor said she is doing good.

Jayci was a big girl when she was born (October 16) as she was 8lbs 11ozs but she is growing at a nice pace and was 18lbs at her 9 month checkup and she is still wearing 9 month outfits and the 12 month clothes are a little big.

My son was 11lbs 4oz at birth and 22 inches long . . . he's now at his 9 month 21.4lbs and 31 1/4 inches tall. My husband is 7 foot tall though and I'm 5 10, so he'll probably continue to be on the larger side!!
