my dd was born 8lbs 4.5 and at 12 mths was 19.8lbs at about 12 mths.... at 3 In a week she is 28.6lbs..

MY son whom is 16mths old now... was born 7lbs 10oz and at 12 mths was close to 16lbs and now at 16mths old is 20.7lbs..

I wouldnt worry if you baby is happy and healthy then they are the right size. :) !! i ALWAYS get the weight issue because my son is so light and small. but he is eating ALL THE TIME and is breastfed and on solids and my daughter is light aswell so i know its just how they are :)

My Daughter Skylar was born 6lbs18oz and 18.5in and now at 16 months she weights 19lbs 7oz and shes 28.5in. but the doctors said shes evenly proportionate and shes growing along at a steady pace so theres nothing to worry about she is just going to be prob no taller then 5' and weight around 100lbs just like the girls on my husbands side of the family are.

Jazairah was born at 7lbs 40z and at 12months she was 19lbs 6oz. She was 22lbz 6oz at her heaviest now she is closer to 20lbs again.

My daughter Madison was 6lbs 7ozs, and 19 1/2 inches at birth. She is 16 months old now and weighs 16lbs 13ozs, and is 27 1/2". She is not on the charts for height or weight, and has not been from the her 4 month checkup, but she is creating her own curve according to our Pediatrician, and growing consistantly. She is just petite.

Ava was 5lbs. 8oz, she was born a month early. I bottle fed, but she put on the weight super fast. She's always been 50th percentile on weight and 75th on height...

The chart is only somewhat important....my son was in the 90th% for height and 75 % for weight when he was born. He is now 17 mths and has consistantly been only 25% for weight and 75% for height. I was worried about his weight but my doc said that as long as he stays consistant it is not a concern, constant changes are concerning. So as long as the doc says your child is healthy don't worry about comparing them to others their age!

Emma was 7 lb 8 oz at birth. She has always been in the 95-98 percentile for height, weight, & head circumference. The pediatrician wasn't concerned because she was proportionate.

My son was 9lbs 8oz, 21 1/2 in long when he was born and now he weighs 25-28 lbs. Of course he's had the same weight since he was a year old.

My daughter Sophia weighed in at 8lb 10oz when she was born. They had to induce me 3 weeks early as i had gestational diabetes.The midwife thought i could have has an 11lb baby if i went to full term.OUCH xx

Tatum was 4lb 8.3 oz and 18 in at birth, full term. By her 5 day weigh in she was back to her birthweight, and has been gaining ever since. Her 15 mo checkup she was 31 in and 21lb 10 oz. She is only 15 percentile for weight but 65 percentile for height. Her doc says as long as height is above weight, not to worry. I think she has gotten her bio father's build. His profile listed him as 6'3 and 185lbs. Tall and skinny, just like her!

Julian was 5lbs 8 ounces and exactly 3 weeks early. Perfectly healthy...just pretty tiny...he's still in 12 month size clothes at 16 months old!

mylo was 7lb 10oz at birth and struggled through the first 12 months to gain weight and was admitted to hospital at one point.took him for his 12 months check up and as he is on the 90th line i got told he was over weight and needed to change his diet told to go back but havn't been as he start to walk and run more the weight will came off.

Dakotah was 7 lbs 1 1/2 ozs at birth, at 16 months old she now weighs 26 lbs 9 ozs., she is a big girl, and has always been in the 100 percentile, but Dr. says she is healthy and since she has been walking she was thinned out alot!

My daughter Kennedy weighed 9lbs. 3 oz. even being over 2 weeks early. Now at 16 months she weighs 27 pounds. She is in the 84% for weight and 95% for height so I don't worry about her weight at all.

Denzel was 5lbs 7oz (5 weeks early). I was so worried because he was so tiny for so long. But he is a wonderful 23lb boy with a healthy appetite. He is now in the 65% percentile for height and a little above 50% on weight. In comparsion to most babies nowdays, he is still tiny but his heart and intelligence is well above his years. Proud Momma talkin. LOL.

chantel who is now 8 years old, was born in at 7 lbs 2.5 oz, at a year she was only 16 lbs and 27 inches, she now is 50 lbs and pretty short, always been that way very petite girl, runs in the family though, then my middle child morgan who is now 5 years old, she was born at 7 lbs 12oz, at a year she was 21 lbs and i believ 30 inches, and is now like 42 lbs she is almost as tall as my 8 year old, she has always ridden the average line, then there is sean who is 15 months old now, at birth he was 9 lbs 1.6 oz, as of now he is 25 lbs and about 32 inches tall, he's starting to average out now, his first month he was 12 lbs, two months 15 lbs, once he started crawling around he gained weight slower, but anyways, so we have one on every end of the charts, one that's always been on the high end, one on the low end, and one in the middle

My daughter was born 8 lbs 12 oz. She gained weight and was a an adorable chubby baby. She has been off the charts since her two week appointment in both height and weight. She couldnt have been healthier or happier. At one point I was worried she was being overfed or I was doing something wrong. She was breast fed and bottle fed, then solid food around 4 months. (she continued to be breast fed until about 10 months) She started to wake up in the night and when I told the doctor what she was eating she said the baby is hungry, feed her more. I did and she slept through the night! Listen to your Pediatrician. If they are not worried, do not be worried. Develop healthy eating habits and your child will be fine.

My daughter was 5lbs 11oz at birth (4 weeks early) and now she's a whopping 28lbs at 15mos. She's above average for both height AND weight. I'm not worried. She eats very healthfully and is still breastfeeding. I'm just pleased with my little preemie's progress.

My daughter was born 6 lbs. 1 oz. (5th percentile for weight) and at 15 months is only 17 1/2 lbs. She has been off the charts (lower than 1st percentile) since she was 3 months old. I strictly breastfed her until she started eating solids at 6 months and apparantly my breast milk isn't fattening enough. If we had known this early enough, I would have tried supplementing with formula, but the doctors and my lactation consultant were never (and still aren't) too concerned. They say she's just petite and perfectly healthy (she eats very well). Since she started drinking whole milk (I sometimes add some half and half, per drs. instructions), she's put on several pounds. Our pediatrician says she thinks my daughter will get back on the growth chart by the time she's 2.

my son anthony was 10lbs 6 oz 24in long at birth and weight 26lbs at 15 mo. the dr was concerned about his weight at birth because he was so big but but because he was so tall the weight didnt affect him

my lo was 6lb 0ozs at birth and weighed around 18lbs at 12 months but she has suffered from severe reflux so thats a good weight for her think now at 15 months she around 20lbs

my little boy was 8 lb 3oz (approx 3.7kg) at birth and at 15 months he is 19.8 lb (9kg). He has fallen off the charts, but he is going along his own curve. He has never been sick and eats tons of food. He is just dainty, he is about 82cm (32 inch) long. Had blood test done and he is healthy. Doc said not all babies are ment to be chubby.

My daughter was 8 lb 8 oz at birth and 22 1/2" long. Her first bday she was 34" long and about 25 lbs. She is off the charts for height but average for weight. =) And we're expecting her little sister to arrive in a few months!!

My son was born 9lb 5oz and by one year was 29lbs. He also has been in the 99th percentile since born. He is actually 5-6in shorter than my three year old and 3-4lbs lighter!!

briony was born at 37+6 by c-sec on 14/10/08 & was 6lb14 - so gorgeous & tiny!

at 1yr she 21lb 12 & is a strong, healthy girl - shotputter throws & loves any food, lol!

she was on 75th centile when younger but weight gain has slowed down & she is nearer 50th centile now - bless her!!!!!!

Kaylin was 6lbs 3oz at birth. She still is small and only in the 5-10 percentile for height and weight. She goes for her 15 month appointment next week so we shall see how big she is verses her 12 month appointment.

Okay, all of mine were born big, but my baby was 9lbs 12oz (2 wks early) and then at 6 months she was 25lbs, and at 12 months she was 26lbs. The charts are good, but when they are born above the 100 percentile, they tend to stay above it for a while. My 2yo was 11lbs even at birth, and is now at almost 3 weighing 34lbs. He is tall ans skinny.

My little girl was born 8pd 12oz (3.9 kg) and is now 11.4kg (approx 25pds) - she has always been at the higher end of the chart for her weight but she is heathly little girl and has hardly been sick at all. I also think the chart is good (she was breastfed) as they help you to keep an eye on their overall development.

ps charts are relevant, no matter how they eat. mine was breastfed too, and her chart was still important... its a chart about weight gain, not diet.

My Daughter Addison Elizabeth was born 6lbs 8oz, and at 12 months was 20lbs even.
She's always contuned on her chart well, so we were never really concerned.

Phoebe was 7lb 10 oz and 21 in at birth now she is 28lbs and 35 in at 15 months ( though she was measured nearly a month ago). I don't pay attention to the charts because they are irrelevant for breastfed babies any way.
