My daughter is 8 months old and I've been exclusively breastfeeding. Now I'm unexpectantly going back to work. I will be supplimenting with formula in a sippy cup but I have no idea how many ounces to make them for!

Thank you so much for all your help!! I think my little girl, along with solids 3x a day, seems to only drink 3-4 oz per bottle in the 2-3 feedings I'm missing while at work. I thought at first until I read all of your suggestions that it wasn't enough but now I feel better knowing that it can be normal. Thinking that the formula is thicker for her that my breastmilk and maybe why she only drinks a little. But she seems ok and not hungry so everything is going well!! Thank you all so much again!!

Mine eats approx 6oz per bottle (shes eating solids 3x day too though)
and she drinks 4-6 bottles/day
Info Ive found suggests formula should be 24oz/day at this age

My daughter usually only has 3-4oz. I usually make a 6oz bottle, but she never drinks that much. On a rare occasion she has 5oz.

my son has 8oz bottles per bottle usually 3to 4 a day as well as 3 meals and 2 snacks

My pediatrician advised me to just fill up her bottle and let her eat until she has had enough. From an early age my daughter will push the bottle away

Chase drinks 10oz of formula in a sippy at a time he is a big eater though. I think 6-8oz is normal.

my daughter only takes 4-6 oz per bottle! usually its more like 4-5 oz for her morning bottle and 3-4 oz for every bottle during the day! i also do the lunch time and dinner time baby food!

My Hailey doesn't go over 6 oz but her big brothers were at 8 oz by 4 months...try 6-8 oz.

my 8 month old daughter drinks 6 ounces in a bottle, sometimes less. It depends on how much food she eats during the day.

I usually make my daughter 8 oz and let her drink until she is done. It varies from day to day how much she will take at each feeding but it is usually 6-8oz.
