My baby was seen today for her 6 month check up but we were 2 weeks late.  She was 18 lbs. 10 oz. and 27.5 in long.  Shes in the 90th percentile.  If one more person tells me she's a big girl I am going to scream.

My son was born OCT 25th 2008 and at 5 months he is weighting 18lbs 14oz. I breastfed for the first two months and now I am formula feeding, giving rice cereal, and a few vegtables. I give one to two jars a day. His doctor said he was in the 90th percentile for his weight, she said he is just a healthy boy.

My son, Parker, was born on 10/2 and weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. at birth and at his 4 month visit was just a bit over 20 lbs. We go in on the 8th for his 6 month check up and can't wait to see how much he weighs now. Oh, and he is breastfed only and has just started cereals.

My daughter just turn 5 months on the 27th of march and she is like 18-19lbs... which the doctors said her weight is in the 85% range for her age.... i think it just depends how she's taking in what she's eating bc with my daughter she's taking her weight in through her height!!

Depends on how you and the father grew as a infant as well!!

My little girl will be 6 months on the 7th. During her last doctors visit in early March she weighed 16.5lbs. She was only on formula at that time. She has since began having cereal and baby food.. So i'm expecting she's a few more pounds by now.

My little girl will be 6 months on the 7th. She was last weighed beginning of March and she was already 16.5 lbs. She was strictly on formula at that time. Since then I have started her on Baby Food and cereal so I'm expecting to be at least 19 lbs by now. :)

My son will be 6 months on the 15th of this month and when I took him in to the doctors because he was sick with the runns and he weighed in at 15 lbs 9.8 oz and at his 4 months check up he was 14 lbs 4 oz so it all depends on the size of the baby at birth  I guess Wyland was 7 lbs 13.5 oz and did have some trouble gaining the weight in the beging and I was breast feeding and had to supplemenmt with formula because I was not producing enough breast milk.  If your peditrician thinks that it is fine with her weight then that is all that counts if he is worried then ask what else can you do to help her gain the weight she needs to.

My daughter was just over 5lbs when she started out and weighed 12.5 lbs when she was 5 months. She is also breastfed. Don't forget that even though they have a chart of what most babies weigh at a certain age, every child is different and as long as your child is not loseing weight and is healthy, their weight is just right for them :)

my son Calum was born october 8th at 8lbs 1 oz. He weighs just shy of 20 lbs now. I am just switching him from breastmilk to soy formula. He has been eating pablum since 2 months and currently eats cut up watermelon, banana, bread, and pretty much anything he can get his hands on for snacks. He eats 3 full meals of mashed or pureed food (once and awhile he gets jar baby food, not too keen on it though) and a bit of pablum right before bed. I think he may be asking for  steak anyday now....

My son is 5 months and 2 weeks and weighs 10 lbs 3 oz... He was born at 7lbs 13 oz believe or not... We had a few issues with his latch while breastfeeding so he was getting plenty of vitamins but not enough fat. He has been on formula for the past month and has gained over 2 pounds. He's about to reach the charts!

My daughter was born Oct 15th so she's 5 1/2 months. She got weighed the other day and weighs exactly 12 pounds. She doesn't gain as fast as other babies and she has continually dropped farther and farther on the charts. At her 4 month checkup she was in the 3rd percentile at 11lbs 3 oz. I'm guessing at her 6 month checkup she will be completely off the chart. 1 pound in 2 months, it's bound to happen.

He's in size 5 diapers and is already in 12-18 month clothes.
