My daughter is 5 months .. will be 6 months on the 23rd! .. she is growing so fast .. her name is Laila .. I loveeeeee your daughters name .. it is beautiful ..

He just turned 6 months on April 2. He loves oatmeal cereal. I tried both the rice and barley cereal but he didn't care for it. I give it to him in the morning as well with a bottle, then for lunch he gets veggies and for dinner I just started to introduce meat combos and a fruit, with bottles in between and at bedtime. I give him the heinz baby food so started with the beginners, and now onto the 6 month stuff. He loves it all pretty much, he is a good eater!

He just had his shots today and he weighs 18lbs 13oz almost 27 inches long! He is a big boy! he weighed 6lbs 5oz 19 inches at birth. 

He isn't fully sitting up on his own just yet so I prop him in the nursing pillow. He is a leaner lol so he just won't sit straight up for long periods of time! but if he is in my lap he sits up good. He loves to stand. He hated tummy time for the longest time and I can now finally put him there for a bit and he will lift himself up with his arms and reach for things. He can roll over from his belly to his back only.  He is a huge fan of his jumparoo as well. He is also a really good sleeper, both night (12hrs straight with the occasional wake up) and about 3 naps/day.

I love your daughter's name! (my son is Sidney). And how about her?

 Im very addicted to this site lol. I live in Calgary Alberta. My son has been through all the beginner Heinz foods both veggies and fruits and I have just started to introduce the 6 month stuff including the meats. I gave him Turkey and Sweet Potatoes and he loved that and today I thought I would try to puree some of the chicken I made for dinner (just plain) and he hated it so guess I will try tomorrow to mix it with something more. He isn't to fond of peas either! I have to mix them with carrots.

MY son and I live in Sheboygan Wisconsin.  My little guy is growing up fast also.  He is also on  baby food on the 2nd stage for fruits and 1st stage for veggies and has liked all of them so far.  He likes bananas and sweet potatoes also and everything else we have had.

Welcome! My baby boy was born October 20th (he's my first). I'm 31 and live in Wilmington, North Carolina. My baby has started solids too and he pretty much loves anything we give him (I think he gets that from his daddy and me, we love to eat). I really like this site, it is so helpful to connect and get advice from other moms who have babies around the same age as mine.

Hi Ashley. My daughter Sophia will be 6 months on the 6th of April. Ilike this site. Sophia is my 3rd child and this is the first site like this I've been a part of. It is nice to be in contact with lots of other moms since we live in a very small community. Ask your doctor if there are any mom/baby groups in your community that you could join. I have taken all my kids to groups like this and it is great to learn song/rhymes and visit with other moms face to face. Sophia has some rice/oatmeal cereal and some of the heinz beginners fruit and veggies twice a day. She is lactose intolerant, so has soy based formula at bedtime and is breastfed the rest of the time. Hope you enjoy the site and get lots from it.

hey, iv just started using this site so am getting to grips with it myself. my son is 5 months and 2 weeks, he was born on the 24th of october, hes my 3rd baby but there is a huge gap of 10 years between him and my 2nd, so its like starting over, but am enjoying it so much. he got his 1st 2 teeth at 4 months and has been on solids now for about a month, although have just started him with dinners. hope you enjoy using this site and get as much from it as i have.

Hi Ashley! I think this site is great, nice people, great info and support! My son just turned 6 months on April 2. He is my first and im really enjoying being a mum. Where are you from? Have you started her on any solids?
