wow that is amazing! i would say she is definately ready! my little boy is 18 months and i have just started training him (slowly!) when he has a nappy off he will say 'weewee' when he is going but is not yet aware when he need to go. i sit my little boy on the potty to read stories or to eat a few sweets. he is yet to do anything on it but i feel the first steps are there. well done to your little girl!!!

It sounds like she is going to be really easy to train. My son is 18 months old and have been through this 5 times before. Usually it is after the second birthday that the part of the brain lets them become aware of when they need to use the toilet so I have not pushed the issue until after then. Summer is a great time to potty train as it is much easier to let them run around with no nappy on...get some underwear to make them feel like a big girl/boy.
Good luck!!

My son just turned 3 and we are still working on potty training. I hear that girls are easier to potty train than boys. I ask my son every 20 minutes if he needs to potty, sometimes he does sometimes he doesn't. Also if you are using a small toilet seat on top of the standard size, let your daughter pick from a few that you approve of, that way they feel excited and special about it, they will want to use it more!!!

My son is 18 months and a first time mom as well. He has pottied in the potty since 10 months, off and on, but I haven't pushed it. I let him run around the house naked sometimes and watch him and put him on the potty every 45-60 minutes or so. If he goes he gets 3 mini M&M's. His doctor told us to reward him for going so he knows it good to potty in the potty. I also put him in undies too and he does good. It sounds like she is ready, you just goto work with her and don't get frustrated because it take times. Try having her potty in the potty before nap and after nap. Anytime you think she might have to go. (it's what I do with my son) Even if she has a wet diaper still let her try.
