My Hayden just turned 10mtsh his BDAY is OCT28 he is walking as of week agao he gets better everyday when he falls he stands right back up and goes its funny though he will try to run from me but hasnt mastered that yet

mine is 10 months and he uses anything he can get his hands on to stand up and he is walking around things like the couch and coffe table. he just started trying to use his cousins to stand up. they are 4 and 1 1/2 and they aren't much bigger then him so it's pretty funny.

My son started walking at 8 1/2 months...He is 10 months 1 week now and he is now trying to climb onto stuff. He definitely keeps me moving for sure!

Mason is not even close to walking, he doesnt even crawl yet. but my older children 2 of them walked at 10 months.

YES! Mine's walking!! On the day you posted this, she took her first steps and she's full out walking by now. I'm sorry... I know I shouldn't brag but I've been holding it in for a while, lol. She's a walker!!! But my other daughter was just learning to stand alone at this age and she was never considered 'behind'. All kids have their own schedule. TRY not to compare them too much and don't PUSH them to do something they aren't ready for.

My son is 10 months and has been walking since he was 8 and a half months... tape everything down and baby proof now. I thought i would have plenty of time when he was cruising to do that in the house and i was wrong dead wrong... If you really would like her to walk i would encourage her to walk and do little things that require her to be more independent. One thing me and my boyfriend would do is sit with our feet touching and have him walk back and forth... he loved it and his sister loved cheering him on

my 10 month can walk she takes 6-9 steps before falling she took her first step around 8 months old.

My 10 month old is not walking yet. He can stand up by himself for about 10 seconds but isn't brave enough to take a step. He stands up against any furniture and cupboards he can find. I think he will walk when he is ready and I'm in no rush for him to start.

My baby is just over 10 months old...she can stand by herself and cruises the furniture. Last week she took 13 steps by herself!!

However, she's back to about 4-8 steps this week.

mine is 10 months and holds onto furniture and walks around that way- can balance only for a few secs on her own but too scared and sits down.. i think she will walk soon though

My son is walking all over the place...let me say, enjoy it while you can because once they get going, there's no stopping them. He walked earlier than anyone in our family, so we weren't expecting it at all and we had to run around and babyproof all the other rooms in the house that we hadn't gotten to yet. He was a little over 8 months and started walking by himself. Now he is climbing on the couches by himself and jumping on them. Last night he got up on the back of the loveseat for the first time and tried to stand up! He's our little monkey and it's exhausting chasing him around all day, but it's lots of fun!

my daughter only walks when holding onto things. shes tried to take her steps then gets scared that shes not holding on and sits down. dont worry most kids dont walk for a while.

My little boy is nine months and two weeks. He has been walking for 2 weeks now! He sure did shock me when I turned around and he walked away!! Now I can't stop him! He walks through stores and loves his shoes!

Malcolm is an Oct 8 baby and he has been walking for a couple weeks - poor guy was so determined, but kept falling - he had so many bruises. He's finally getting pretty stable (and taking it as a challenge to run). Craziness! Time to finish all that childproofing work!

Emery started walking 2 weeks ago and has now mastered it! Just this week she has gotten really good at standing up from the floor on her own. She seems to be walking early although my son didnt start walking until 11 months.

Hiya, my little un was born on 30th October and this week he has started 'cruising' around the furniture. He is trying to escape from his cot too. He is so different to my first child tho as each baby is different. If your October baby is or isn't walking there is no need to worry - they do it at their own pace and also depends on whether they have elder siblings too x

One of my twins boys just took his first steps today! I'm excited, but this opens a whole new job for me. I don't think his brother will be walking soon. He can pull to stand and cruise, but he is so content to sit and chew on toys. Each baby develops at a different rate!

My little one has been pulling himself up and walking around his crib in the middle of the night since about 6 months. He started doing that before he crawled. Now he will pull up on something and just stand there and look at us. He will let go occasionally take one step, cry and fall. So I am hoping he gets there soon. I'm excited. I think.

I have b/g twins. My son is a few short weeks away from walking...i think. He can stand up from sitting on his own and stand for a few moments but no steps yet w/o holding onto the furniture. My daughter cannot pull up on her own yet nor crawl. She gets onto her hands and knees but stops there. I need to strengthen her legs and arms. What to do??

Mine walks holding on to anything. Figured out how to climb off couches and the bed. And when she crawls she crawls with one leg and walks with the other.

My son, Drake, turned 9 mo on the 12th... he is so close to waling it is frightening. He stands and squats on his own. Cruises along the furniture with absolute confidence. He wont take steps on his own without holding on to someone or something yet, Thank God!!! I am not ready for him to walk yet. Oh, He can climb the stairs too! Yikes!

My son is 9 months and like your daugther he has no fears and is very determined - he can balance, pull himself up - he has not gotten the idea that if he doesnt have his balance and he turns he will fall. But needless to say it doesnt stop him. He will walk if you guide him and walk with him, I suspect he may be able to take his few steps by the time he turns 10 months. They will do things at their own pace and be patient and just make sure she isnt getting into dangerous things. Good luck!

Hello,My son Jonathon who is 9months old,isnt walking on his own yet,but he is getting in gear in doing so .he stands up and surface walks holding on to things or grabs on to you and follows with you as he grips on.he has the balance and even has let go and took two steps a couple of times,but plops down crawls and moves on to another area to grab and stand up.I look forward to when he does actually walk,its another stage in there life they have transitioned into...everydaay is a joy in watching new things he learns and pickups on...My oldest who is 16yrs old didnt walk until he was 16 months old...everyone is unique in there own lil adventure...

mines not walking yet and not even close she either bum shuffles or comando crawls everywhere she much prefers to scream and let one of her siblings get what is needed lol. I don't mind she can be my baby as long as she wants my first walked at 10 months and it was so hard my 3rd walked at 15 months sooo much easier I hope this one takes just as long lol she's 9 1/2 months now.

Toby turns 9months on the 31st. He can, now, walk 6-8steps at a time, has great balance but is quite lazy and gets distracted from things (for example: he was walking great a few weeks ago but got sidetracked when he learnt how to climb up onto the couch, and then he spent 2 weeks just climbing up and down the couch ALL DAY LONG) so i think that he still has at LEAST another month or two to go before he starts to completely walk alone...oh, and he can run holding on with one hand...it so cute coz he get's really excited and then he falls to his knees :).

Gabriel is right around the corner too! He's walking along with everything, holding your hands, along the furniture, walks with his push car. He will also stand on his own, he just has to pull himself up first!

Everyone keeps saying (everytime I see them!) "Your life as you know it is over once he starts walking!" I'm actually getting kind of annoyed with people saying it lol I wanna say "DUH My life as I knew it was over when I found out I was pregnant with him!" hahaha

My little boy turned 9 months today..he has been walking along the furniture for a few weeks, and then this past week started pushing a push toy, but he can't stand or walk without support yet. I am not pushing the walking alone, as he already gets into everything!!!!

Mine just turned nine mths today! She is not walking yet either, but I sense it is rright around the corner. I am excited and kinda nervous, not scared, about her walking because I know she is gonna get into everything....

Also, you don't want her to be fearful, but just guide her through and keep swaying her away from the danger zones...she will get it eventually. I work in an infant/toddler room so I know what to expect right about now. Good Luck!

My daughter is 9 mos. also. She too stands up and balances well on her own. She only walks when holding on to something.
