just curious if anyone else has a kid like this?

Alexander is a very good eater as you can tell from his weight at 28.6lbs at 15mo check-up. He has always loved food and been in the 90th percentile or higher for weight. Alexander has never cared for greenbeans and recently he has begun to play with his food. We have noticed that if we put ketchup on his greenbeans or other not so appealing foods, he will eat them... I think its fabulous!!!

Our 3 year old is like that!!!! He has to have ketchup and "white dip it" (ranch) on everything!!!! What ever it takes to get him to eat!!!! Lexie, our 15 month old, eats more than our 3 year old!!!! Go figure!!!

i have the opposite, our son does not like dips he likes his food plain, oh well slightly less mess for me for now

phoebe never refuses food, but she loves Sri Racha chili sauce. I was alarmed because of the heat level but she goes to extreme measures to get it from my food. oh well other cultures introduce spicy foods early on. I think she got the liking from me anyway. I caught her sucking on the bottle the other day- clever lass got it out of the fridge when I was in the bathroom *facepalm*

My son has just discovered dipping his dinner in something. He doesn't care what it is, he just wants to dip! We use fruit and yogurt as his dip. Healthy and he's entertained while I eat.

Hey my daughter is the same if she doesn't want something that on her plate she says dip dip which means ketchup. As soon as you put this on her plate she eats it all

I haven't tried ketchup really but our daughter likes anything that's tomato based...like spaghetti sauce, ravioli, etc.

Well I'm not sure..I've never given our son ketchup, however he does enjoy ranch :) Our son asked for a bite of my salad the other night and he really liked it. I was so proud our son was eating salad until my husband said it's probably the ranch. LOL!

I have a neice who did the same thing with ranch dressing. She ate a lot of salad for several months :)

Thankfully I have a good eater on my hands, but when all else fails, a little BBQ sauce makes everything tastier! Squirt a little of that on, and she will anything. =)
