Mommy time

Yea, I completly agree. My son watches everything I do. He tries to wipe off his toys or his hands. Its t he cutest thing. I find that it is hard getting things accomplished when he is awake. He is very curious and gets into everything. (typical boy) lol. He needs my undivided attention. The other day I went to go and use the Shark hand held vacuum, and he did not want me to clean up. I had to hold him in one arm, while bending down trying to clean up the floor. My arm got so numb I had to put him down. Tried distracting him with toys..that didnt work. So he kept holding onto to my legs ever soo tight with his face in my butt. Everywhere I went he would not let me go. He is definetly a mamas boy! Him and I are extremly close. I do have to admit that I am not nearly as neat as I was before I had my son. I feel like I dont have energy anymore. I procrastinate to get chores done. I dont even have the energy or the urge to want to fix myself up. Its def all about my son. Which is a good thing. Im just trying to find a good balance. Mommy def needs her time too!

I try to most of my chores when they are awake (14 month old twins). This was I can have a little "mommy" time when they are napping. It is much needed and they a need recharged mommy too. Plus, they enjoy watching or "helping" me. Plus, my house is pretty small and I can't make too much noise during naptime. The other day, I decided to clean out my closets and bag stuff up for goodwill. They had the best time. They were playing with the hangers (plastic ones) and throwing themselves onto the piles of clothes. It works for me.

I feel the same way. I work all day. Rush home just to see baby for 30 minutes before i put him down to sleep. ;-( Then I decompress by vegging out on the couch instead of trying to get rid of the last 30 pounds of baby weight.

lolol. ya same here. except for me, its spongebob or special agent oso or fresh beat band. i actually enjoy it and dont mind watching it with him or alone. lol.

you know whats funny, my TV is on YO GABBA GABBA 24/7. and when he takes his naps or lays down for bed, i have my free time, but i always STILL find myself sitting there, finishing up an episode of yo gabba gabba!!! ugh, the things we do for our kids. lol

Yea. I feel you guys on that. I think its def nice to take mommy time for yourself. Whether its once a wk or once a day. We deserve it! lol.

mostly i go online (usually at night), as it's the only time i get free from any disturb.

I usually look forward to mommy time because my days can be very busy. At night i usually take a long bath, get on the internet study a little and spend time with my fiance. Since he work so much in the day I try to spend as much time with him as possible at night. But having 3 kids you never know. This weekend I'm going to try to go to the movies or something it's been along time since I been out you know lol get some alone time with him.

My partner and I try to do things together even if it is just watching TV or being in the same room together. However I am lucky and get out once a week to work out or have some me time like a trip to the beauty salon. I think you just have to make the effort to take that time and my partner is great and will stay home with her, even if she isn't asleep and do the nightly routines. It is great.

It depends. I go online, watch TV (in the evening), clean up, shower, put laundry away, have time with my husband (in the evening mostly), read magazines, work out (in the evening). I hardly got any time to do any of these things the first several months after my daughter was born, though, because she was a HORRIBLE sleeper. But now she does better and I can get things done and do a few things for me.
