One more suggestion...have you tried Gripe Water? It's a natural "gas/colic" remedy that you can buy at a health food store like whole foods - I've seen it in the grocery store too. It has worked awesome for all 3 of my kids whenever they are generally fussy and i can't seem to find a solution...

So I am bottle feeding and when she does wake up she seems fine at first and I do try to let her just fall back asleep but within 15 min she starts screaming and the only thing that works is feeding(pablum and bottle). Then she falls back asleep. Thanks for the suggstions. I never thought of a growth spurt.

My son has alwasy gone back and forth from waking around 4:30am to sleeping straight through. He used to fuss, and my husband I would go in together, tuck him in again, and give him his paccy (basically just do the exact same procedure we do when we put him down at night). Now if he wakes in the middle of the night, he self soothes on his own with his thumb, so we don't have to get up anymore.
I would guess teething might be a problem... I am waiting for that to happen, because most nights he sleeps through now, so I know when he starts fussing again, that is what I am expecting it to be.

my daughter started doing the same thing, just when i had packed up the party that i had coz i was having a full nights sleep ( she is the fourth child in the house). She would not want to feed, really just sit and look around for an hour, so i resigned my self to waking up, then i started scheduling her with tips from contended baby and babywise books and we are sleeping through the night once again. i know that it can be hard, especially when you were getting all that sleep, so i would suggest that you double check the schedule and the feedings.
hope this helps

She may be growing. :) Sometimes they just need to fuss it out a little. Try letting her soothe herself back to sleep (unless she is just screaming her head off in pain or something) and after 2-3 nights of self-soothing, she may be just fine! Good luck!

My daughter is doing the same thing. She wakes up a couple times a night crying, but nothing is wrong, so i just let her cry for a little bit and she goes right back to sleep. Sometimes i have to go in and put her pacifier back in her mouth, but most of the time she goes right back to sleep.

It could be a number of things. I was going through the same thing...and then when I was getting up with her it went from once a night to four-five times a night. Is she teething? Is she hungry? She could be going through a growth spurt right now. Emily just now started sleeping through the night again. I ended up having to have her cry it out because there ended up being nothing wrong with her. I would nurse her and she would instantly fall asleep. So it could a growth spurt, she could be teething, or it could just be a habit and she needs to be broken out of it. And be careful - people get really fiesty when it comes to this topic. I just had a post on it a few days ago (she slept two nights in a row now) and people on here started fighting! It's a pretty touchy subject! So good luck! If you would like to email me personally we could help each other out on this topic without people getting nasty!!
