My daughter will be 4 months on Friday. She rolled from her belly to her back once a few weeks ago, but not since. She looked pretty surprised after she did it, so I'm not sure she knew what she was doing.  She's also really trying to roll from her back to her belly. Its so cute to watch, she sounds kinda winded sometimes from working her abs so much! Sometimes I give her a little nudge so she can feel like she's accomplishing something.

My son will be 4 months on Tuesday and he hasn't rolled AT ALL!!! By this stage DD was rolling all over the place but DS won't even think about it. I know of many bubbas that haven't rolled until after they were crawling so don't panic yet.

No rollies here either, a couple of almosts from back to tummy , but no go... I am not worried in the least, she's happy, she does her tummy time (not necessairly hapily, but she does it lol) and she's shown a huge interest in standing all the time standing, sitting is apparently passee lol....I have a feeling my little lady is gonna be one of those lying to running kids, eeep!

My daugher, just now started to roll over and enjoy tummy time. There for a long while, tummy time was not successful at all. She hated it! Good Luck!

My daughter is the exact same way! She would much rather hang out on her back...so I have been trying to increase her tummy time... She just doesn't seem to know what to do with her arms....I am not worried either - she will do it when she is good and ready. :)

Hi Lisa, I am feeding Aubrey solids--but only a tiny bit.  We went in for her 4 month check yesterday and she weighed 12lbs 2ozs  They put her on baby Zantac--anyone familiar with this at all?  Anyway, we will see how it goes, as for rolling, I just wanted to make sure that she wasn't falling behind--it has been 12 years since my last baby and I forgot all of this stuff!    Thanks everyone for your advice:)

We rolled a couple of times, there is video on here of her doing it....only from belly to back !! She HATES tummy time so she rolled to her back....now she just lays with her face buried in the carpet until dad or I cave in and help her roll....

We just rolled from our belly to our back at 14 weeks.  It was awesome.  She has done it a few time, but she doesn't go from her back to her belly yet.  I am not going to worry about it.  I know she'll be walking before I know it and i am going to enjoy every step.

My boy is four months old.  I've only seen him roll from his tummy to his back once.  He's always rolling from his back to his side, but not yet from his back to his tummy.  The child health nurse has told me to increase his tummy time, which we have done.

I would not worry at all. Your child will do it when she is good and ready. Some kids don't even do it at all. Give her her time to do things on her own. Remember, you don't want her to grow up too quick anyway.

Mine can roll to her right.  She has rolled to her tummy a few times and gets stuck and starts crying.

hi jackie, my son is about 3.5 months and has no interest in rolling. he loves belly time but only when he is tired and then he falls asleep for as long as 3 hours! we do the towel thing, but that's about it.

My daughter is 4months today and hates to be on her belly and she has not even attempted to roll over yet. I keep waiting and watching for her to do it but - nothing so far!

My son use to do that to. he would get like half way over  an would be  lazy an give up.  an look at me an yell an then smile .

My son is almost 4 months and he is trying really hard, but has not gotten on to his belly from his back yet.  He gets about halfway and gives in.

My son rolled from his belly to back twice at 8 weeks and then not again until this past Saturday. He's 16 weeks today. So the first two times were flukes I'd guess. He's quite proud of himself now as he knows he can get off his belly which he absolutely hates anyway!

He hasn't rolled from his back to belly yet. I think that one comes later. Either way, all babies are different and due things on their own time schedule. :)

Hi. My daughter is just over 4 months. She has not yet rolled over at all. She will roll from her back to her side & that's all. She also does not like tummy time too much, but lifts her head for a look around well enough. I haven't worried too much, I also figure she will do it in her own time.

My daughter rolled over a couple of times at 3 months then didn't do it for a couple of weeks. She's now almost 4 months and as soon as you put her down she's over on her tummy. She still hasn't mastered rolling back onto her back . She used to get super cranky if I left her too long on her belly and I was constantly rolling her back over. But each time I left her a bit longer and she's now more content on her tummy because she can lift her head better and look around. Now that she's managed to roll over she also sleeps on her tummy during the day and I've found she sleeps a lot longer.

My daughter is four months as well and she hasn't completely rolled over at all yet. She hates to be on her belly too. I haven't pushed the tummy time too much because she hates it. I just figure she'll do everything in her own time:)
