Sudden changes in development

The past few days my daughter has been gnawing on the nipples of her bottles and then poking at them when I give her milk. Today, she refused her bottle and wouldn't drink her milk until I put it in a sippy. I was expecting to have to fight with her to do this, instead she made the decision herself!

She's also ready to potty train and that has me scared. When she needs to pee she goes to her potty (which we have in the bathroom so she could get used to it), flips the lid up, sits on it, pees in her diaper then closes the lid and flushes the normal toilet!

She stills babbles with the occaisional word, I'm guessing her next step is going to be from babble to full coherent sentences at this rate. Anyone else have a child that seems to make these huge leaps?

I just wasn't expecting it so soon. Then what does she do 4 nights ago? Figure out how to get out of her crib! She's even started waking me up at night when she needs to pee.

Our son weaned himself from his bottle at 11 months, he is now 17 months and can say many words and even some short sentences, he is also in the early stages of being potty trained. So yes there are others out there :) Congrats on the leaps! Its great not having to fight over letting go of the bottle huh?
