Teething Tablets - do they really work?

[deleted account] ( 10 moms have responded )

Just wondering if anyone uses teething tablets. I used the Little teethers gel on my baby's gums. I don't know if it really helped. I was wondering if anyone uses teething tablets and if you think its better than the gel stuff.

THANKS

Teething tablets are all natural. They have a plant called Belladonna, which is a narcotic. (like: morphine or cocaine) Just like anything else, you usually want to start with the least powerful, lowest dose possible to ease the pain. Personally, we have used infant ibuprofen and it has worked fine. But, not all babies are the same. You may need something stronger. My Pedi is VERY conservative and does not recommend the gels because it can numb the throat as well as the gums, causing a choking hazard. I have known lots of people who have used gels and never had a problem.

My little boy loves the Humphrey's teething strips - only at Walgreens. They're completely natural and just dissolve on his tongue. He instantly calms after getting one and even opens his mouth for the strip when I get one out.

i use the hylands teething tablets and they work great for my son! he also seems to like them because he can pick them up just like finger foods and they dissolve quickly. i got them at the advice of the babysitter and they work wonders for her daughter (who has 14 teeth!!)

We used the tablets and they worked the first 2 times. Now they don't do anything for her. So we use infant motrin.

We use the Camilia homeopathic teething medicine. It comes in single dose little droppers and works amazingly with my little one. We also have the Hylands teething tablets but they dont seem to be as affective as the Camilia.

My doctor told me not to use to teething gels so I used teething tablets instead. They seemed to work really well for our son. Plus they are all natural :)

The hylands teething tablets seemed to work on my daughter. I've never used the gel.

We use Hyland's teething strips. They're homeopathic, dissolve quickly, and really seem to work. They're a lifesaver at night, especially with pesky molars.

As i experienced teething tablets are better then anything else as then kids dont get swollen eyes or bad stomach and many other internal problems but what tablets we use here are homeopathic ones..
