Trying to get pregnant again or already pregnant?

my baby is 10 months old and now im pregnant with no.2- im 4.5months along.. abby will be born by jan 6th 2010. small gap but i ust want to get it over and done with rather than have a huge gap then starting again from scrath. hard work i know but worth it

Hi. I don't think it's too soon at all. I hope that we might start trying for #2 next month. I think 2nd time round can be easier & harder. It is another one of those things, it can go either way. I subscribe to a Magazine called Practical Parenting & I have read many articles on "2nd Time Round Infertility". It is common enough. Good luck though, hopefully you won't have to worry about it at all.

Hi there,

I am trying atm for a second child, I totally agree with you and my family think, mine are like that too! I want another one so bad, My daughter Dawn is 10 months and 1 week old. And she is getting So independant now that another baby would make it really close in age.



Its been so hard for me and my fiancee to have another baby, we've been trying for about 2 months now, and no luck yet.. unfortunatly. But in a way its great cause now that she is more active and interactive, i think its the perfect time for another one..

Hey I am pregnant again with baby no 4 - Eldest dd is 9, 2nd dd is 5, and dd 3 will be 12 months when no 4 makes an appearance! I am looking forward to having 2 close together - and is nice as other 2 are at school etc. I am also more confident and relaxed now! No 4 wasn't planned, it was a little accident - DH and I where shocked at first but getting used to it now.

My 2 are 21 months apart and it was great at first but now is A LOT harder. I'm still glad they're that close in age because it'll be better down the road but right now it's a lot of work. I'm basically putting my life on hold until further notice. Since we want 3, we'll most likely be trying again soon because I don't want one kid that's a lot younger than the rest or to have to go through the baby stage again when the other 2 have put that far behind them. That's just our personal preference though :) . It was much easier for me to get pregnant the 2nd time around and I was breastfeeding exclusively (plus solids) 4x a day at the time.

Kourtnie, my sister and I are 11 months apart too! I cannot believe my mom did that! lol, i don't know anyone else that close in age! I am planning on trying again starting in October.

Yes Im pregnant again. My daughter Kara was born Oct. 8th, 2008. Im due with my 2nd daughter Dec. 5th. They will be 14 months apart. It was very easy getting pregnant the 2nd time. We werent really trying but we also were not preventing. Im very excited having them this close together. But dido on the diaper thing Ashlee, lol.

hi.. my son was born october 4, 2008 and im now just about 13 weeks with my second, i was breastfeeding and still got pregnant .. it was really easy for me!! good luck

We just started trying this month. I think that 9 months is the perfect age to start again. Our little man is becomming independant and I think I am ready to have another little one. Plus I want my kids to be close in age, my sister and I are 11 months apart (which was too close for my liking) and I adore her. I hope my children have the same sort of relationship.

Hey Jennifer yea we just found out we are expecting again just over 10 weeks now so #2 will be march they will be 16 months apart, I know it will be tough with 2 in diapers ect but at the same time once you are done you are done.

I am currently 4 months pregnant with my third child. I have an almost 2 year old, and almost 1 year old and the third will be born in Dec. All my children will be 14 months apart. I absolutely love it. It is a lot of work at least with the 2 so far, but they are really good with each other and we can't wait for the third one to arrive. We currently have 2 boys, and get to find out next week what our third one will be. i say go for it. It may be hard at first raising them, but they will be good friends and have tons of fun.

We found out after trying for a couple months that I was pregnant a couple days before my son turned one. They are 20 months apart. I LOVE the spacing. Now that she is 9 months old they will play together and my little boy just adores his sister. I hope this helps.

I wanted to start trying around now, but I don't currently have insurance, so not a good idea right now. I think it's good spacing. The second time is supposed to be easier according to my doctor and some other sources. Good Luck!!
