Hi Everyone,
I'm curious to know what your feeding schedule is like and what you give your October babies.
Thanks,

It's so interesting that moms have drastically different feeding schedules. I'm going to introduce beans at 9 months for her protein.
6:30- 7:00 wake up: formula
8:00: whole grain cereal, fruit, & yogurt
10:00 formula
12:00: formula, protein (cottage cheese, egg yolk, meat), veggie, grain (toast, cheerios, biscuit)
3:00 formula
5:00 formula, protein, veggie, fruit, grain
7:00 sometimes she wants a snack- biscuit or toast and fruit
8:00 formula and bedtime

I nurse on demand and follow a loose solid for schedule ie: solids when I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I like to share mealtimes with Phoebe. As far as food, I make my own baby foods- a wide range of fruits and vegetables, and brown rice, white rice, and oats for grain. Yogurt is the only non breastmilk dairy I give her. I am avoiding dairy and wheat because a family history of severe allergies and Crohn's disease- my doc and I agree that putting these foods off will lessen the likelihood of her getting these issues. Just thought I would explain the rationale behind her diet.

My lil bugaboo wakes at 7:30/7:45. She gets 4 tbs of cereal and 1oz of fruit followed by a 5 oz bottle. She gets a 4oz snack bottle at 10am followed by a two hour nap. She gets 6oz at 12pm then at 1pm she gets 2oz of veggies. She naps again from 3-5pm. Gets 1oz of meat and 3tbs cereal with a fruit for dinner. She gets a 4oz bottle before bed. Bedtime is at 7:45/8pm By the end of the day she gets 24oz of formula. This is typical when transitioning from formula to solids.

My son came up with his own schedule, and it's pretty predictable. I wish he woke up later in the AM, but at least he sleeps through the night! He eats pretty much anything http://wholesomebabyfood.com/ lists as good for 8-10 mos.
5:30a - 6:30a -> Wakey wakey and nurse
6:30a - 8:00a -> Play time
8:00a - 10:00a -> Nap, then nurse
10:00a - 11:30a -> Play time
11:30a - 12:00p -> Lunch: Water, Finger foods (diced fruits, diced cooked veggies, cheerios, etc.)
12:00p - 1:00p -> Play time
1:00p - 2:30p -> Nap, then nurse
2:30p - 5:30p -> Play time
5:30p - 6:00p -> Dinner: Water, Finger foods (diced fruits, diced cooked veggies, cheerios, etc.)

my son wakes up anytime between 8-9am, and he eats about every 4 hours (5x a day). i feed him fruit/veggies puree that i either make or buy, depending on the type of fruit/vegetable. i mostly make apples, bananas, peaches, squash, carrots, and avocados, and buy sweet potatoes, green beans, prunes, and whatever else looks appetizing! every couple days i will make him some rice cereal as well, or mix it with his fruit. he also drinks a combo of breastmilk and formula. so for example his meals at 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm would be 5oz formula/breastmilk + 3-4oz fruit/veggie, and he has a bottle of formula at 11:15pm just before he goes to bed. he usually plays for 2-3 hours after he eats and then sleeps until his next meal. easy to predict because he is used to the routine :)

My daughter usually gets up around 6 or 6:30am and has about 7-8oz of formula. Then around 8 she has cereal and fruit. Another bottle around 10 and then veggiesaround noon for lunch. Around 2 she has another bottle and either a fruit or veggie around 4 and her last bottle around 5:30 or 6. She also seems to think that she needs to eat whatever I am as well even though she has no teeth!

My son is now 8 1/2 months old. He wakes up on average about 8am and has a 6oz bottle which I mix a bit in with his cereal (4 tbsp) and either a couple tbsp of fruit or half a baby yogurt. Lunch is about noon and he gets a veggie combo or a single veggie and some fruit. Then about 3:30 he gets a 6 oz bottle and 1 oz of that is whole milk. Dinner is around 6 and he gets a meat combo and some fruit. Bedtime is about 8:30-9 and he has a 6 oz bottle. A week ago I took him to be weighed and the nurse advised that I could start introducing the whole milk/yogurt/cheese etc and that his formula intake with start to slow down and he should be eating more solids and slowly increasing the whole milk to be completely off of the formula. So far all of this is working well so after a week I will increase the whole milk to 2 oz. Also I just started to make all his own food to get off of the jarred food and he is liking it!!

She's been waking up about 7 or so and has a little bit of milk...it's hard for me to determine how much since i am nursing. She goes back to sleep til about 9:45 and then nurse about 6-8 oz worth of milk. sometimes she'll go back to sleep sometimes she'll stay awake but at noon she gets lunch which is usually jarred friut mixed with cereal or something that has some sort of grain in it. she nurses a little at about 1 or 2 right before a nap and occasionally nurses after her nap...it's up to her. She wakes at about 3:30-4 and whether she nurses or not she gets snacks between then and about 6:30 when she nurses about 6-8 oz again. Around 8 she gets a jarred dinner. Meats and noodles and/or veggies. She then nurses at about 9:30-10 for bed. And then we start over the next day

No schedule. Baby nurses when she wants it, even if she nursed 15 minutes ago. She gets only my milk. But she does like a taste here and there of whatever I'm eating, but no interest to feed herself yet. We don't do spoonfed purees.

He tends to get up between 7am and 8am. Drinks 7 oz of formula first thing in the morning. Then, about 3 hours later (usually around 10:30) he gets baby oatmeal mixed with formula and a 2nd stage fruit baby food (bananas or anything with blueberry are his favorite). He lays down for his nap around 11:30 or 12 and will generally sleep for about 2 hours. Then he gets another 7 oz bottle (though he doesn't always finish the entire thing). He seems to get hungry about every 3 hours. He gets a second round of baby oatmeal/formula and a 2nd stage vegetable or meat concoction in the evening. I'd say he gets about 28 - 33 oz of formula a day.

Well my bub wakes at 9-9:30am and has a bottle, then cereal, has a sleep about 11 until 11:30-12. Has another bottle at 12:30 then lunch which is pureed apple and banana, apple and mango or just apple, then has another sleep at 2:30 until about 4:30. Then has another bottle, then sleep at 6:30 until 7. Then another bottle at 7:30 then dinner which is pureed meat (usually beef,lamb or chicken) and vegies but if I'm to tired I just cook mash potato for us and she eats mine. Then another sleep about 9 until 9:30 then another bottle at 10:30. Then I let her have a little play until I finish what I didn't get to do during the day, then we both go to bed at about 11. She drinks about 180mls of formula every feed and I just by baby food in a can as I have 2 other children so I don't have time to make my own.
