Any other moms expieriencing writings on anything other than paper. Skylar is starting to explore coloring on different objects first it was her body now its her bed I have no clue what will be next... the strange thing is we put all pens and markers way out of her reach so I have no clue where she finds them until shes done and tells me... any advice how to try and stop this stage in life...

LOL, yes it could happen. The floor mat though is BIG and has little pricky things underneath that stick to carpet (if you have carpet), which is why they are really for an office chair with wheels.. I would put it under her bed when it wasn't in use. I lived in an apt when my girl was little too. The easel is a great option though for sure.. ;)

Ah but you can still paint a wall, just need to paint it back before you leave... ;) I would give it a try. If not, I bought an easle for my daughter when she was little and she LOVED it. She was told it was her place to colour and do as she wished, I would also buy great big pieces of paper for her and lay down one of those plastic chair mats with the paper on top and let her do her thing.. She could even paint since there was the big plastic mat beneath it.. Maybe something like that would deter her from writing on everything else? Good Luck. ;)

I am going to paint a wall in my sons room with chalk board paint.. He will then be able to write all over it without any issues, of course, only with chalk! LOL I didn't try this with my daugher but I wish I would've. ;)
