My 18 month old has started putting his fingers in his mouth to the point that he is gagging himself. He even made himself vomit once ! Im getting worried, Ive been trying to get his to stop by distracting him and talking to him and other ways but it works for a few minutes and then he starts all over again. Anyone else ever have this problem ?

Mine has been doing it now for a couple of weeks. He has never vomit but has been close to it.
I always wonder if is related to teething?
I have tried playing with him and distract him but nothing works
